AhnLab (CEO Seok-gyun Kang) held an online ‘Live’ event on Monday, September 6 for trainees of the KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) ‘Development Cooperation Talent Training Project for Developing Countries Using Korean’ hosted by the International Development Cooperation Center of Soonchunhyang University. A field trip was conducted. 16 Moroccan and Egyptian college students accessed AhnLab’s YouTube live broadcast from their countries (8 a.m. local time in Morocco, 9 a.m. in Egypt) and participated.
AhnLab’s online ‘Live Field Trip’ is an online field trip program in which participants participate by accessing a real-time broadcast (URL) from anywhere on their PC or mobile device. Tour participants can watch videos hosted by the person in charge on YouTube live, participate in real-time chat, and have any questions answered immediately.
This field trip was conducted in Korean at the participant’s request between the ‘English option’ and the ‘Korean option’. For participants who were interested in Korean culture, we introduced corporate culture, including in-house events and welfare, in detail, and conducted a LAN cable tour of the company building that realistically showed the actual work space and lounge facilities. In addition, IT/security jobs and industry outlook were introduced, providing a broader perspective on career choices.
Samahe, a Moroccan trainee who participated in the field trip, said, “As this field trip made me more interested in the field of cyber security, I would like to recommend the field trip program to other friends.”
“AhnLab has a history of operating field trip programs for foreign college students, Korean students, etc. in the past, so online ‘live field trips’ can also be conducted in English,” said Inch-beom Inch, managing director of AhnLab’s Social Value Realization Team. “Information Security “I hope that domestic and foreign students who are interested in the field or Korean IT companies will gain useful information through AhnLab’s online ‘Live Tour.’”
