SK Chemicals (CEO Kim Cheol) announced on the 15th that the sustainability management report published in July won the gold medal at the ‘2020 LACP Vision Awards’.
The LACP Vision Award is an award that has been awarded since 2002 by the League of American Communications (LACP), a global public relations and marketing research organization.
SK Chemicals’ 2020 Sustainability Report won the gold award in the chemical industry category. The report received the highest score in six of the eight evaluation categories, including first impression, cover design, message to stakeholders, narrative ability, financial reporting, message creativity, and information accessibility, making it one of the top 80 reports in the Asia Pacific region. In addition, it was selected as one of Korea’s top 20 reports at the same time as receiving the Technical Achievement Award.
SK Chemicals has been publishing a sustainability management report every year since 2010 to transparently disclose the company’s commitment and performance in sustainable management to various stakeholders, including customers. In this report, ESG management strategies were derived and key areas of focus and ESG goals for 2030 were specified. In addition, qualitative content and quantitative data were organized together focusing on ESG issues to improve readability.
Park Jong-hyun, head of SK Chemicals’ management support division, said, “As the first step toward becoming a global leading company that provides eco-friendly materials and total healthcare solutions, we will use 2021 as the first year of ESG management and become a leading company in sustainable management.”
