AhnLab (CEO Seok-gyun Kang )’s intelligent threat response solution ‘AhnLab MDS (hereinafter referred to as AhnLab MDS)’ has been evaluated for ‘ Advanced Threat Defense (ATD)’ certification in the third quarter of 2021 by ICSA Labs, a global security solution certification agency. and succeeded in obtaining certification for the 9th time in a row .
Since becoming the first in Korea to obtain certification in ICSA Lab’s ‘Intelligent Threat Response ‘ evaluation in the third quarter of 2019, AhnLab MDS has acquired a total of 9 certifications in succession up to this evaluation . AhnLab MDS is the only intelligent security threat solution in Korea that has received the ‘Intelligent Threat Response ‘ certification from ICSA Lab nine times in a row .
This evaluation was conducted on six solutions from global security companies . AhnLab MDS recorded a detection rate of 99.7% for about 640 previously unknown new and variant malware samples, such as ransomware and backdoors . In addition , it succeeded in obtaining certification by not recording a single false positive for over 700 normal files .
“AhnLab is the only domestic intelligent threat response solution that has consistently obtained certification from ICSA Lab, ” said Han Chang-gyu, director of AhnLab Security Response Center (ASEC). “We will continue to respond to advanced intelligent security threats based on our proven global technology.” “We will provide response capabilities, ” he said .
In January 2021, AhnLab MDS was the only domestic intelligent threat response solution to be selected as a ‘Next-Generation World-Class Product ‘ hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy .
