Pixello (CEO Kang Seok-myeong), a digital eye care company, won the iENA 2021 Silver Award for its Pixelro product Vivid Vision Film at the German International Exhibition of Ideas, Inventions and New Products (iENA) held in Nuremberg, Germany, and a special award from the Polish Patent Association. It was announced on the 3rd that it had won a total of two awards.
Pixello is currently a company located in the Pangyo Startup Zone, established by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and operated by the Startup Promotion Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center. Pixelro Co., Ltd. is a Samsung Electronics spin-off startup that develops and sells digital eye care functional products such as smartphone films and mobile applications that protect people’s eyes.
iENA is Germany’s largest and most credible invention exhibition that has been running for over 70 years since it was first held in 1948. Every year, about 800 inventions from about 40 countries around the world are submitted, and it is used as a venue for product sourcing for buyers in the European local market.
At this exhibition, Pixelro exhibited two vision correction Vivid Vision Films, a digital eye care product, and Dr. Airpick, a digital air care product.
Vivid Vision Film, developed with Pixelo’s proprietary technology, was developed to enable users with poor eyesight due to early presbyopia or astigmatism to see the smartphone screen more clearly. It consists of a multi-layer film structure and MLA (Micro Lens Array). It is the world’s first mobile vision correction and protection film.
Seok-myeong Kang, CEO of Pixelro Co., Ltd., said, “By participating in not only this exhibition but also many other exhibitions, Pixelro is taking the lead in gathering together major players in the digital eye care field at home and abroad to expand the scope of exchange and explore how to gather its strength within it. “I will make it,” he said.
