    GC announces system to support maritime traffic control service at KORMARINE 2023… “Observe ship operation status with cutting-edge scientific monitoring equipment!”

    GC (CEO Lee Sang-gil) participated in the ’23rd International Shipbuilding and Marine Industry Exhibition (KORMARINE 2023)’ held at BEXCO in Busan for 4 days from October 24th (Tuesday) to 27th (Friday).

    JiC Co., Ltd. is an IT company specializing in maritime traffic control and plays a role in Korea’s maritime safety by researching, developing and supplying maritime information and communication solutions, including maritime traffic control systems.

    At this exhibition, Mr. Ji actively introduced VTS, a system that supports marine traffic control services. This is a system that uses cutting-edge scientific surveillance equipment such as radar, CCTV, direction finder, and automatic ship identification device to observe the operation status of ships and provide information necessary for safe operation to help prevent marine accidents, protect the marine environment, and operate an efficient port.

    The VTS center provides an intuitive maritime situation display by linking vessel information to CCTV footage. Viewfinder VOC is a VTS operating console based on the S-63 electronic chart and provides a user-centered control environment.

    A JiC official introduced, “It plays an integrated role in the VTS Center, one of the MBA systems, and is being supplied to the Coast Guard as a target.”

    Meanwhile, KORMARINE 2023, co-hosted by Busan City, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Plant Association, Korea Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Industry Cooperative, Lead K Fairs Co., Ltd. and BEXCO, will feature domestic and overseas shipbuilding, offshore plant, Cutting-edge equipment and new technologies in marine energy were showcased.
