Vulkan participated in the ’23rd International Shipbuilding and Marine Industry Exhibition (KORMARINE 2023)’ held at BEXCO in Busan for 4 days from Tuesday, October 24th to Friday, 27th.
With 5 production sites, more than 50 sales companies and approximately 1,400 employees in more than 18 locations worldwide, the VULKAN Group is one of the technology and market leaders in the fields of marine, industrial and energy technologies, as well as refrigeration and air-conditioning technologies. .
Among the products presented at this exhibition, the marine engine coupling is a coupling that is very flexible in terms of torsion, and has a split structure design that makes installation and maintenance easy and minimizes vibration. It can be applied to the drive compressor shaft of an electric motor or diesel engine.
The company explains that it has high dynamic load capacity and good rotational dynamic characteristics due to low rotational inertia. The compact size reduces weight and increases the efficiency of the drive system.
A Vulcan Korea official introduced the product, saying, “The Vulcan coupling is a part that goes between the engine and the reducer and plays a role in suppressing engine vibration and noise.”
Meanwhile, KORMARINE 2023, co-hosted by Busan City, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Plant Association, Korea Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Industry Cooperative, Lead K Fairs Co., Ltd. and BEXCO, will feature domestic and overseas shipbuilding, offshore plant, Cutting-edge equipment and new technologies in marine energy were showcased.
