The 2023 International Shipbuilding and Marine Industry Exhibition (KORMARINE 2023) opened at BEXCO Exhibition Halls 1 and 2 in Busan on Tuesday, October 24. It is co-hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Busan Metropolitan City, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Plant Association, Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Equipment Industry Cooperative, Lead K Faires Co., Ltd., and BEXCO, and Coship and AVING News participate as media partners. This exhibition will be held in a hybrid form, with an offline exhibition and an online exhibition held simultaneously.
KORMARINE, which celebrates its 23rd anniversary this year, is the only exhibition in Korea that can examine the current status and trends of the overall shipbuilding/marine industry, including shipyards, shipbuilding equipment, offshore plants, energy, and unmanned ships. It is evaluated as one of the leading global exhibitions along with the NOR-SHIPPING, Greece’s Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Exhibition (POSIDONIA), and China’s Shanghai Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Exhibition (MARINTEC CHINA).
This exhibition, which runs until the 27th (Friday), will be held with 900 companies from 40 countries and 1,900 booths, and will be held by not only Korea’s three representative shipyards such as HD Hyundai Group, Hanwha Ocean, and Samsung Heavy Industries, but also overseas shipyards such as Italy’s FINCANTIERI, ABB, and Alfa Laval. Global companies such as , Emerson, and domestic companies representing the industry such as KCC, S&SYS, and Korea Register will participate along with pavilions from 13 overseas countries, including Germany, Norway, and Austria.
In particular, Exhibition Hall 2 will feature the KORMARINE INNOVATION PAVILION, where you can check out the innovative technologies of the three shipbuilding companies representing the domestic shipbuilding and marine industry. HD Hyundai Group will display high-efficiency eco-friendly ship technology and autonomous navigation solutions, and Hanwha Ocean will display HS4 smart ships & cybersecurity. , an LNG reliquefaction system, and Samsung Heavy Industries will present a smart ship solution, SVESSEL.
In addition, various concurrent events will be held during the exhibition period. The Komarine Conference, a representative conference in the shipbuilding and maritime industry, will be held from October 24th (Tuesday) to October 26th (Thursday) under the theme of ‘Maritime Sustainability: Innovating for a Greener Future’. This conference, which consists of 5 sessions and 22 programs, presents the sustainability of the marine industry and its domestic and international status and technology.
