Dataflare (CEO Sunbae Son) participated in the ’23rd International Shipbuilding and Maritime Industry Exhibition (KORMARINE 2023)’ held at BEXCO in Busan for 4 days from Tuesday, October 24th to Friday, 27th.

DataFlare, established in May 2023 under the slogan of ‘creating technology for the future,’ provides solutions for differences between project vessels ranging from commercial ships, government ships, special ships, and marine projects based on system integration (SI) technology. This company develops cybersecurity and port air pollution monitoring solutions based on deep understanding.

At this exhibition, Dataflare introduced ‘Port AIR POLLUTION MONITORING’. This solution acquires fine dust data (SO2, No2, PM-2.5 data) for each port area through a self-produced Air Quality Monitoring System and transmits it to the server. Collects vessel information by location through the land AIS NMEA Converter and helps monitor exhaust smoke information for each vessel along with AIS (vessel identification system) data.

Rather than using the existing atmospheric diffusion model, we accurately express the smoke GIS movement coordinates and vessel movement coordinates according to wind direction and wind speed through a self-developed algorithm based on big data analysis of the atmospheric smoke tracking model.

Sunbae Son, CEO of Dataflare, said, “Most areas around the world with high concentrations of ultrafine dust are ports, and one large container emits as much fine dust as 50 million diesel vehicles. Accordingly, Dataflare’s port air pollution monitoring solution can dramatically improve the low usage rate of the onshore electricity supply facility (AMP) and fine dust reduction device (DPF) previously installed in ports, and collects information generated from ships and ports. “It is the only product that generates ship smoke data through big data analysis of smoke information.”

This solution was developed and produced with support from the Ministry of Environment, and is being prepared for delivery to the Coast Guard and Port Corporation. Patent registration is scheduled to be completed in November, and next year, we are taking steps to enter the shopping mall ‘Nara Market’ operated by the National Procurement Service and register as a ‘world-class product’ certified by KOTRA.

In addition, the ‘Cyber Security Solution (SHIP NETWORKS CYBERSECURITY)’ exhibited together is a technology that can predict security vulnerabilities and suggest improvement directions by applying ‘IACS UR E26/27’, a strengthened shipping cyber security regulation from 2023. We provide customized solutions tailored to our customers through asset identification, security vulnerability diagnosis, and network collection.

Meanwhile, KORMARINE 2023, co-hosted by Busan City, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Plant Association, Korea Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Industry Cooperative, Lead K Fairs Co., Ltd. and BEXCO, will feature domestic and overseas shipbuilding, offshore plant, Cutting-edge equipment and new technologies in marine energy were showcased.
