Double Healthcare Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong Yun-mi) will hold the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo’ held at COEX Hall A in Seoul for three days from Wednesday, July 26th to Friday, July 28th. 3).
Double Healthcare was selected as the 2021th social entrepreneur development project in March 3, and was incorporated in September. We applied for a patent for the tofu powder manufacturing method, created a brand called ‘Dubro’, registered the trademark, and manufactured tofu powder protein shake and brown rice tofu cake.
When tofu is frozen, its protein content increases by more than five times, and this was used to produce protein shakes from tofu powder freeze-dried using domestic technology. Tofu can be consumed easily and simply, and the crunchy texture is maximized by adding stir-fried coix radish. In addition, the nutritious rice snack ‘Brown Rice Tofu Pung’ is made with domestic tofu powder and domestic 5bundo brown rice.
CEO Jeong Yun-mi said, “Four years ago, after undergoing surgery for thyroid cancer, my doctor advised me to eat tofu in small amounts often. “This made her think about tofu powder, and she made tofu powder protein shakes and brown rice tofu pops,” she said. “I learned about this exhibition after being selected for the ‘4 Agri-food Venture Incubation Support Project.’ “She decided to participate because she thought it would be appropriate to promote our products.”
Additionally, regarding future plans, CEO Jeong said, “Last year, we generated sales of approximately 4 million won, and in June of this year, we launched a renewed product. “We are continuing to develop products using tofu powder and plan to introduce granola as well,” he explained.
Meanwhile, at AFRO 2023, the largest Agtech & Foodtech event in Korea, domestic startups with global growth potential in Agtech, Foodtech, and Green Bio will exhibit products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries, Various programs such as conferences discussing the present and future of Agtech and Foodtech and investment briefings (IR competitions) are held. This exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and supervised by the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, NH Nonghyup, COEX, and the Korea Food Tech Council.
