Dream Farm Solution (CEO Jeong Ji-hoon) will hold the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo 26’ held at COEX Hall A in Seoul for three days from Wednesday, July 28th to Friday, July 3th. )’.
Dream Farm Solutions, founded in 2019, is researching and developing home plant growers with the goal of making it easy and fun for anyone to grow vegetables at home. With a factory in Wonju, Gangwon-do, it has a variety of product lines ranging from stand-up products to the entry-level House Farm Model 3 and the high-end House Farm Model 7, and has obtained domestic and international certification.
The entry-level Model 3 is equipped with LEDs, a water circulation pump, and a ventilation fan, while the high-end Model 7 is equipped with an Android quad-core motherboard, a 5-inch touch screen, pH, fine dust, built-in camera, and temperature and humidity sensors. It can be grown not only from seeds but also from seedlings, and provides plant cultivation modes such as leaf vegetables, standard, and herbs, making it easy to grow plants with a single touch.
An official at Dream Farm Solutions said, “After starting our business in 2019, we developed products with the concept of creating your own farm at home in an easy and fun way,” adding, “Starting with a prototype using an Arduino board, we developed an Android quad-core board and a 5-inch touch screen. Successfully developed a combined mass-produced product. “This product is made with a double glass door and polyurethane material, so it can easily respond to external temperature changes, and its sealed structure makes it safe from pests,” he explained.
Dream Farm Solution launched two stand types last year, and House Farm Model 2 and Model 3, which are currently waiting for release, have completed product development and certification and are undergoing final plant cultivation tests. Regarding this, an official said, “We are planning to launch the product around August. In addition, we exported the House Farm Model 7 to China, and it is receiving good reviews there.”
He continued, “We are planning a future rental service, starting with domestic online sales. “Customers can receive seedlings every 2-3 months and plant them in the product to enjoy fresh organic vegetables right on their tables all year round,” he said. “Furthermore, we are actively targeting overseas markets by introducing products in the form of plant factories as well as home plant growers.” “We are planning to attack,” he said.
Meanwhile, at AFRO 2023, the largest Agtech & Foodtech event in Korea, domestic startups with global growth potential in Agtech, Foodtech, and Green Bio will exhibit products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries, Various programs such as conferences discussing the present and future of Agtech and Foodtech and investment briefings (IR competitions) are held. This exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and supervised by the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, NH Nonghyup, COEX, and the Korea Food Tech Council.
