Green Continu Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeon In-ho) will participate in the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo 26′ held at COEX Hall A for three days from July 28 (Wed) to 3 (Fri). )’.
Green Continue is a new company established in February of this year, and is producing environmentally friendly fabrics using agricultural by-products that are discarded in Korea. Representative materials include cactus leaves, tangerine peels, and apple peels, and cellulose from various agricultural by-products is extracted and fabricated.
In this exhibition, Green Continue will show off cactus leather, tangerine peel leather, and sweet potato stem leather. In particular, cactus leather has excellent abrasion resistance and a longer lifespan than natural leather, and we plan to allow visitors to the booth to touch it.
An official from Green Continue said, “It is a sustainable resource that is regenerated six months after cutting the cactus leaves. In addition, the cactus cultivation process is done in an organic way that does not use pesticides at all, and the cellulose extraction process also does not use any harmful chemicals. I predicted that the high price would be a huge burden not only for the brand but also for the end consumer, so I started developing it myself,” he explained the background of entering the business.

In addition, regarding future plans, he said, “The domestic vegan leather market is in its infancy, so raising awareness among consumers is the top priority.” We will make prototypes that are as popular as possible so that people can feel them and enter the market.”
Meanwhile, at AFRO 2023, the largest Agtech & Foodtech event in Korea, domestic startups with global growth potential in Agtech, Foodtech, and Green Bio will exhibit products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries, Various programs such as conferences discussing the present and future of Agtech and Foodtech and investment briefings (IR competitions) are held.
