Bauer Energy Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong-Hwan Son) will hold the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising’ held at COEX Hall A in Seoul for three days from Wednesday, July 26th to Friday, July 28th. Expo 3).
Bauer Energy is a specialized duct manufacturing company that has been researching and developing facility house ducts since 2007. We manufacture and install facility house ducts as well as ducts to prevent cold damage in outdoor orchards. Accordingly, efforts are being made to maximize the power of nature to use less energy, reduce carbon emissions, and create an optimal environment for crops to grow better.
At this exhibition, Bauer Energy plans to introduce various duct products. ‘Branch duct’ is a basic type of agricultural duct and can be installed in various places such as furrows, raised beds, under beds, and fruit farms. The ‘return type double duct’ is a duct that blows air from the back, and serves to reduce the temperature difference between the front and rear. In addition, the ‘straight double duct’ is used to surround trees and prevent damage from cold damage to orchard farms.
In addition, the ‘distribution multi-stage duct’ is also introduced. Distribution-type multi-stage ducts have the feature of minimizing heat loss by enabling close heating. In addition, the ‘side duct’ material alone provides an increase in thermal insulation rate. By operating the heater, air pockets can be formed and crops can be protected from cold external temperatures.

A Bauer Energy official said, “Off-the-shelf agricultural ducts are made of vinyl chloride, do not come in a variety of sizes, and have a short period of use. In addition, the thermal insulation and durability are weak, and when used in a greenhouse, the temperature difference between front and back is large and heating cannot be performed uniformly, resulting in a lot of heat loss.” “To compensate for these shortcomings, we produced agricultural ducts using woven film materials.” “Weaved film has high thermal insulation and durability, so it can be used for a long time, and can be customized to suit the environment of each farm,” he explained.
He continued, “The agricultural ducts developed by our company are patented for each type. “This is because we are able to achieve a uniform heating and cooling effect by sending wind evenly to the facility house and outdoor fruit trees, rather than simply increasing warmth and durability,” he said. “In order to reduce environmental pollution and carbon emissions in the future, we will use waste banners as a material.” We are currently researching and developing agricultural ducts. “Because the waste banner is made of chemical fiber fabric, we are conducting a step-by-step in-depth examination to determine whether it is suitable as an agricultural duct, and we are aiming to release it next year.”
Meanwhile, at AFRO 2023, the largest Agtech & Foodtech event in Korea, domestic startups with global growth potential in Agtech, Foodtech, and Green Bio will exhibit products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries, Various programs such as conferences discussing the present and future of Agtech and Foodtech and investment briefings (IR competitions) are held. This exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and supervised by the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, NH Nonghyup, COEX, and the Korea Food Tech Council.
