IT Tech Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Dong-ro) will hold the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo’ held at COEX Hall A in Seoul for three days from July 26th (Wed) to 28th (Fri). 3)’.

IT Tech has been developing an artificial intelligence-based livestock monitoring system using thermal imaging sensors and general cameras since receiving the grand prize from the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in the big data-based smart farm contest in November 2019.

This exhibition introduces the livestock abnormality detection system (AI CDS). AI CDS can observe livestock farms 24 hours a day through artificial intelligence, and the AI model captures the livestock’s vital signs to determine estrus, suspected heat illness, upsets, etc., and notifies the manager to observe abnormal signs of the livestock in real time. and can be managed early. Through this, it is possible to prevent death in advance by conducting artificial insemination at the right time, preventing the spread of heat diseases, and early detection of cattle turning over. It is recommended to be installed on livestock farms raising more than 50 cattle.

An IT Tech official said, “While operating a Korean beef farm, I personally experienced the difficulties of managing livestock sheds. In addition, while investigating the operation, labor supply and demand of surrounding livestock farms, sensors or general video systems are used to observe abnormal signs of cattle, but it is still difficult for managers to directly check the abnormal condition of cattle in real time with the naked eye. “I was able to find out,” he said, adding, “Therefore, I wondered if it would be possible to detect abnormal signs in livestock in real time using artificial intelligence, and this led to the development of AI CDS.”

Currently, IT Tech’s AI CDS is being pilot operated at a livestock farm in Yesan, South Chungcheong Province, and KC certification has been completed and IPA and TTA certification are in progress. We are planning to install and pilot AI CDS in the livestock sheds of the Andong Korean beef farm in July, and we plan to establish a sales network in connection with businesses with existing sales networks.

An official said, “In the future, we plan to distribute a system that can automatically turn on and off lights and fans in livestock houses using Wifi SW or manage them using the Internet, and launch a subscription service linked to artificial insemination operators or veterinarians. “By expanding these services, we plan to package the livestock management system as a total package,” he said. “Furthermore, we plan to work on research and development such as predicting the health status of livestock using AI technology, and through this, we hope to help develop the Korean livestock industry. ” conveyed his aspirations.

Meanwhile, at AFRO 2023, the largest Agtech & Foodtech event in Korea, domestic startups with global growth potential in Agtech, Foodtech, and Green Bio will exhibit products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries, Various programs such as conferences discussing the present and future of Agtech and Foodtech and investment briefings (IR competitions) are held. This exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and supervised by the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, NH Nonghyup, COEX, and the Korea Food Tech Council.
