Tapspace Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong Gong-sik) will hold the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo 26’ held at COEX Hall A in Seoul for three days from Wednesday, July 28th to Friday, July 3th. )’.

TabSpace is a startup specializing in Internet of Things (IoT) convergence technology that analyzes various business-related requirements and provides customized automation solutions. We are working to make innovation a reality in various fields such as weather, climate, environment, and energy.

This exhibition plans to present ‘low-cost, high-efficiency smart farm solutions.’ The solution is △button control system (facility/equipment control push button type) focusing on versatility and low cost △multi-sensor focusing on scalability and modularity (accurate status monitoring with air/environment multi-sensor) △focusing on flexibility and automation It consists of a customized open source and open API-based AIoT remote control solution.

Regarding this, a Tapspace official said, “Smart farms play an important role in improving productivity through automation of agricultural work and data-based decision-making. However, expensive smart farm solutions can be an economic burden for small and medium-sized agricultural operators. “The Tapspace Smart Farm solution aims to help agricultural operators actively adopt smart farm technology by providing economically accessible yet efficient automation and monitoring,” he explained.

He continued, “The Tapspace Smart Farm solution has versatility that can be applied to a variety of crops and facilities, and has a modular structure that is easy to expand as needed. “Through this, agricultural managers can establish effective automation and monitoring for various crops and facilities,” he added.

In addition, it was pointed out that agriculture has a characteristic in which the environment continues to change depending on natural factors, so a smart farm solution that can respond flexibly and perform automated tasks is needed. An official said, “Our smart farm solution combines artificial intelligence and IoT technology to provide flexible automation and remote control. “Through this, agricultural managers can perform accurate and efficient work while saving time and effort.”

In this way, Tapspace has been recognized for its technological prowess and stability in solving sustainable reliability, stability, convenience, and scalability based on open source, integrated management of differently operated IoT platforms, and application of differentiated systems tailored to customer lifestyles, and has been supported by government agencies for start-ups. Several projects have been selected. In addition, from 2021 to present, the Meteorological Industry Growth Support Center has created synergy with several companies in the meteorological industry.

In addition to being selected as a start-up company for the NIPA Open Source Integrated Support Center, selected as a start-up company for the KMI Meteorological Business Growth Support Center, and selected as a start-up company for the 2021 Kibo Venture Camp, we recently signed a business agreement with Geumyoung Construction for mutual cooperation in the IoT building management system construction project. The ceremony was held. Through this, commercial spaces, residential spaces, and shared spaces are connected through a smart system, and the indoor temperature and humidity can be managed within a comfortable range as desired through a smartphone, and an infrastructure is provided to provide an environment that can be prevented through an unmanned system or advance notification in the event of a fire. The plan is to actively pursue construction.

The background to participation in this exhibition and future plans were also revealed. An official said, “We want to introduce our technology and solutions to the appropriate target audience and provide attendees with the opportunity to actually experience the products. “As it is a venue where many stakeholders gather, we want to promote Tapspace’s brand awareness, strengthen its image, and convey its vision and value based on expertise and innovation to increase trust and awareness within the industry.”

In addition, they also announced plans to develop their own building management system (BEMS) platform that can be used in zero-energy buildings. With this system, △ energy can be saved through integrated automated facility control combining IoT and public data △ integrated control (ON/OFF) of automated facilities based on wired and wireless sensor data is possible △ the level that occupants can experience through external environment correction and prediction It is expected that it will be possible to provide a comfortable indoor environment. We are also developing our own residential space management system platform that does not require wiring work or damage to the interior, and a commercial space management system platform based on wired and wireless sensor data.

An official said, “Through continuous research and development, our company makes the most of IoT technology and provides innovative solutions that meet the diverse needs of our customers. We are a global leader in digital innovation in the business field by exploring the potential of the Internet of Things.” “I will grow into a leader,” he said.

Meanwhile, at AFRO 2023, the largest Agtech & Foodtech event in Korea, domestic startups with global growth potential in Agtech, Foodtech, and Green Bio will exhibit products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries, Various programs such as conferences discussing the present and future of Agtech and Foodtech and investment briefings (IR competitions) are held. This exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and supervised by the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, NH Nonghyup, COEX, and the Korea Food Tech Council.
