Sustainable Lab is a company that launched ‘Idden’, a brand that seeks to reduce the use of disposable plastics generated in the travel industry, and has been developing this project since 2021. With the goal of achieving 0% petroleum-based plastics, Eden provides personal care products using raw materials and materials that are healthy for the earth.

Eden, which advocates a sustainable hotel business based on upcycling technology, is showing its presence by introducing a ‘New Zero Waste’ solution to the market that replaces existing plastic amenities. Furthermore, we aim to make all consumers participants in social impact projects by ensuring that just purchasing our products takes action to alleviate the climate crisis and poverty.

At this exhibition, Sustainable Lab will present Eden brand’s representative product ‘Earth Bar’ series and seek to build public sympathy for eco-friendly consumption. Earth Bar is a solid beauty all-in-one bar product that upcycles discarded agricultural by-products.

The first series, ‘Earth Bar HB01’, uses protein nutrients from beer by-products generated during the production process of the parent brand’s beer as its main ingredient. The wheat and barley seed extracts that make up brewer’s meal are rich in dietary fiber and amino acids, and their nutritional properties are reflected in the product, and the addition of a yellow floral scent improves usability.

The second product, ‘Earth Bar HB02’, is an antioxidant bar product manufactured by upcycling apple peels generated after producing apple juice at a Gyeongnam farm. The official explained that apple gourd contains a variety of antioxidant ingredients such as polyphenol, ursolic acid, and elastin, which are commonly used as anti-aging cosmetic ingredients, and this is used as a functional product.

In addition, Sustainable Lab is also introducing the Eden brand’s vegan solid toothpaste ‘Earthbrush’ and the bamboo toothbrush ‘Earthbrush’, which even the toothbrush bristles are made of 100% plant material. These products, including packaging materials and containers, are made of materials that are easily reusable or biodegradable.

An official from Sustainable Lab said, “Eden has been focusing on research and development to find new efficacy and uses for agricultural by-products that would otherwise be thrown away. “We completed the upcycled beauty technology product through technology to extract ingredients from fruit peels and grains and turn them into cosmetic raw materials,” he explained.

He continued, “Through this exhibition, we hope to provide an opportunity to expand the eco-friendly sector in the agri-food tech industry,” adding, “In addition, we will introduce products with minimal environmental impact, providing consumers with the opportunity to lead a sustainable lifestyle in the circular economy.” “We will provide it to you,” he added.
