Cheongju Brewing Co., Ltd. (CEO Hyun-seok Joo) is hosting the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo 26’ held at COEX Hall A in Seoul for three days from July 28th (Wed) to 3th (Fri). ‘ and introduced premium makgeolli ‘Youth 2023 Degrees’ using Cheongwon Life Rice.
Cheongju Brewery is a brewing company that challenges the existing traditional liquor with a wit, and ‘Youth 7 degrees’ is planned as a taste to express the happiness of youth and soothe bitterness. Made with Cheongwon Life Rice, it has a sweetness like ice cream and a soft body like milk. In addition, it is composed of no sweetener, so it goes well with various types of Korean food, and you can enjoy it as a different dessert by blending with ice cream.
Released in February of this year, ‘Seven Degrees of Youth’ received a warm response, winning first place in a single sale at the brewery’s group booth in the Makgeolli Expo, and was also a popular product sold at the International Liquor Fair.
Ju Hyeon-seok, CEO of Cheongju Brewery, said, “The result of trying to reduce the unpleasant and negative disadvantages felt after drinking while inheriting the universal advantages to change the perception and experience of makgeolli is the 7th degree of youth.” We will take on a challenge with wit, and our goal is to become a brewing company that approaches with popular-friendly brands, from traditional liquor to whiskey, like the Suntory brand.”
Meanwhile, at AFRO 2023, the largest Agtech & Foodtech event in Korea, domestic startups with global growth potential in Agtech, Foodtech, and Green Bio will exhibit products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries, Various programs such as conferences discussing the present and future of Agtech and Foodtech and investment briefings (IR competitions) are held. This exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and supervised by the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, NH Nonghyup, COEX, and the Korea Food Tech Council.
