At the Green Purchasing Certification Center, where four regions gathered together, events such as environmental speed-type environmental mark puzzle solving, seal soap making with microplastics removed, mini diffuser making, and upcycling experience using sock necks were held and operated as citizen participation-type booths. done.
An official at the Busan Green Purchasing Support Center said, “In order to receive the eco-friendly certification mark and GR mark, the product must fall within the seven major environmental categories. This is possible only when it is directly certified by the Ministry of Environment as a product that considers environmental friendliness and is not harmful to the environment, such as resource circulation and reduction of hazardous substances. He explained, “This is a system to make eco-friendly products safer by conducting monitoring after certification.”
The official continued, “It is meaningful to operate a green purchasing certification center at this exhibition where eco-friendly lifestyle products can be gathered and introduced rather than an industry-oriented booth.” He added, “Every year, we meet many consumers at the green purchasing certification center. “I hope there will be more opportunities to introduce these eco-friendly products to consumers,” he said.
