Talos Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Taek-gyun) announced that it will participate in the ‘7 Korea International Safety & Health Show (KISS 3)’ to be held at KINTEX in Goyang from Monday, July 6 to Thursday, July 2023.

Talos is working to develop a medical artificial intelligence model that can be certified by the medical community by using National Health Insurance Corporation data and medical treatment data to prevent brain diseases. To this end, we are led by a team of neurosurgeons with artificial intelligence research and development capabilities, supported by employees with experience in marketing, development, and medical administration, and are working to prevent brain diseases through joint research with Chonnam National University Hospital, a domestic special health examination institution. We are advancing the examination culture in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.

This exhibition introduces ‘ANRISK,’ an artificial intelligence brain aneurysm risk assessment service. Talos said that companies that want to assess the risk of workers developing brain aneurysms can do so solely based on the results of employee health checkups. Through this, workers in a relatively high-risk group can prevent subarachnoid hemorrhage by recommending brain imaging tests, and workers assessed as relatively low risk can check with health managers the health checkup elements to reduce the risk of developing a cerebral aneurysm.

A Talos official said, “We realize the importance of early screening, especially in the case of brain diseases. However, in reality, accessibility was high due to low screening standards and expensive brain imaging costs,” he said. “To solve this problem, we created an algorithm that can prevent serious diseases such as cerebral aneurysm and cerebrovascular disease through health checkup information and medical records. “We wanted to provide a service that evaluates the risk of brain disease through health checkup results at industrial sites and develop a service that protects workers’ health at a reasonable cost,” he explained.

Currently, Talos is carrying out domestic sales activities by signing direct supply contracts with major domestic health examination institutions and at the same time implementing strategic MOUs with medical device suppliers. In order to develop overseas sales channels, we are also exhibiting at the 6 MEDICAL TAIWAN held in June of this year and are beginning exchanges with local medical institutions, medical experts, and medical industry workers, and are preparing to sign an MOU with a local company to supply services in Japan.

An official said, “Cerebral aneurysms have no warning symptoms, but if left untreated, they can cause fatal subarachnoid hemorrhage. “Currently, there is no strategy to detect brain aneurysms through companies’ worker health checkup systems,” he said. “If we use our company’s ANRISK to identify and respond to the risk of brain aneurysms just by inputting workers’ health checkup results, it would be reasonable for workers to have brain aneurysms.” An early screening strategy can be established. “We decided to participate in the international safety and health exhibition to promote this,” he said.

He continued, “Talos, together with Chonnam National University Hospital, is also developing artificial intelligence algorithms to prevent brain and cardiovascular diseases. Cerebral and cardiovascular diseases account for 24% of the causes of death in Korea, and in particular, cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases caused by industrial accidents are on the rise. Accordingly, through our know-how from ANRISK development experience and collaboration with Chonnam National University Hospital, which conducts special health checkups in the largest industrial complex in Korea, we want to create an era in which all citizens can prevent brain and cardiovascular diseases through health checkup results.” He expressed his aspirations.

Meanwhile, ‘International Safety and Health Exhibition’ is the nation’s best industrial safety exhibition where you can see and experience the latest products and technologies related to safety and health in one place. In this exhibition hosted by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, organized and operated by the Safety Protection Equipment Association and Contest Exhibition, and sponsored by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, △industrial safety and protective gear △industrial health and occupational health △chemical industry safety and disaster prevention industry △smart safety △public service and Items related to public safety management are exhibited and introduced.
