Among these, ‘AiRock Safety Belt’ has the same composition as a general safety belt, but Swarock Asia emphasized that it has improved the weight by about 30% compared to its existing product based on the shock absorbing lanyard. The personal safety block ‘G2-mini’ also caught the attention of visitors. Unlike existing lanyards, safety blocks can locally reduce the fall distance through the operation of the internal brake system in the event of a fall, but the weight due to the internal brake system is relatively heavy, causing discomfort to users. Accordingly, ‘G2-mini’ improved its weight from 1.2kg to 780g for convenience.
Swalock Asia is planning to launch the lightest safety block in Korea with a target launch date of January 2024. Regarding this, an official said, “These days, for safety reasons, the trend is to use two lightweight products, ‘G1-mini’, at once. However, no matter how light a product is, if you use two at once, you cannot escape from the feeling of weight and the resulting fatigue,” he said. “Therefore, we developed two safety blocks as one piece, and developed an ultra-light twin safety block with a weight of 2 kg. “I’m in the process,” he explained.
In addition, the horizontal and vertical fall prevention system is a product that can be applied to environments where the connector cannot be hung when using a safety belt due to the risk of falling, or to work sites where the connector can be hung but connector fastening and disassembly are frequent. It is a product that can prevent falling accidents through a single connection of the safety belt connector, and it was emphasized that it is the optimal solution to prevent accidents, especially in narrow passages with a risk of falling, such as crane inspection areas, and when inspecting building roofs.
An official said, “According to the National Statistical Office, among the annual industrial accidents, fall accidents are the highest in the past 20 years, and it is confirmed that about 2021 fall accidents occurred in 300. “We participated in this exhibition to introduce new products developed based on the experience we have seen and learned in overseas markets over the past 20 years, and also to share with customers information about fall risk sites that we have not yet experienced,” he explained.
Swalock Asia has been operating with overseas markets as its main target since its establishment, and as a result achieved the desired results in Southeast Asian markets such as Singapore, but pointed out that it was disappointing that it was not well known in the domestic market. Accordingly, an official said, “Since 2019, we have maintained quality in the domestic market but provided customers with more competitive prices, recording a sales increase of about 40% compared to the previous year. In addition, we entered the Japanese market in the same year and are recording steady sales growth.”
