    Q. Aving News: What kind of company is Mind Hub?

    A. Lee Hae-seong, CEO: Mindhub is a program development company that can rehabilitate patients with language and cognitive disabilities such as dementia, stroke, and developmental disabilities.

‘Mind’ means a neural network of artificial intelligence, and ‘Hub’ means a place where various subjects can meet. The company named its mission ‘Mind Hub’ to provide a place where various subjects can meet to solve medical problems with artificial intelligence neural network technology.

In order to solve socially emerging medical problems, the opinions of various stakeholders must be communicated to solve them. Accordingly, the company developed products to solve diseases such as dementia, stroke, and developmental disabilities, which are considered social medical problems, according to its mission.

    Q. Aving News: What is the purpose of participating in ‘2023 International Advanced Medical Devices and Medical Industry Exhibition’ (KOAMEX 2023)?

    A. Representative Lee Hae-seong: It is to promote the application ‘Zenicog’ released last year. Zenicog is a solution that is currently being supplied to more than 60 hospitals. Through KOAMEX 2023, it participated to meet related customers who can utilize its programs, such as hospitals as well as dementia relief centers and development centers.

    Q. Aving News: Please explain in detail what kind of product the application ‘Zenicog’ is.

    A. CEO Lee Hae-seong: This product adds AI technology to existing solutions that can rehabilitate language and cognitive disabilities. Its biggest feature is that it analyzes the performance data of patients or subjects through AI to provide more suitable and customized training, and even patients and subjects who are not familiar with digital applications can easily receive personal training through simple settings.

In addition, AI recommends training based on the patient’s performance history based on data. Dementia begins with mild cognitive impairment, which is the previous stage, and gradually worsens to the severe stage. Regardless of these characteristics, Genicog’s technical strength is to provide suitable and precise training to patients.

    Q. Aving News: What was the background to developing ‘Zenicog’?

    A. CEO Lee Hae-seong: When I started the company three and a half years ago, my mother-in-law suffered from vascular dementia due to a stroke. Watching this process from the sidelines, he experienced that systematic data-based rehabilitation can be efficiently treated, and he developed Genicog based on this.

It was launched as an application to develop a product with high accessibility that can be easily used not only in hospitals but also at home. Currently, the company’s program is mainly supplied to hospitals, but it aims to expand its service in the form of B2B2C (e-commerce that combines e-commerce between businesses ‘B2B’ and business-to-consumer e-commerce ‘B2C’) in line with future development purposes.

    Q. AVING NEWS: Any achievements achieved through KOAMEX 2023?

    A. Lee Hae-seong, CEO: Above all, through this exhibition, I was able to secure a network to cooperate with other companies. In addition, through the purchase consultation with Kyungpook National University Hospital and Veterans Hospital, we were able to get a good opportunity to provide our products.

    Q. AVING NEWS: If you have plans to expand overseas, where is the target country?

    A. Lee Hae-seong, CEO: The global market we are focusing on is Japan. The contents of training contents are very important for cognitive and language disorder solutions. Other cultural countries need to be localized according to their respective regions, but Japan has a similar culture and sentiment to Korea. In addition, it is a country where the population has progressed at a rapid pace and is geographically close, so it sees Japan as its target market next to the domestic market.

    Q. Aving News: I would like to hear about MindHub’s future plans and goals.

    A. Representative Lee Hae-seong : Currently, Zenicog is sold as a wellness product in Korea, so many users can use it easily and conveniently not only in hospitals but also at home. We are preparing to obtain approval as a medical device in preparation for future release in the global market.

In addition, as services related to developmental disabilities in children are also provided, purchase inquiries and contracts are increasing at the development center. In the future, we are considering selling it in cooperation with the development center so that children visiting the development center can use it at home by taking advantage of the accessibility of the company’s service.

Through various studies, it has been proven that dementia can be sufficiently improved or the worsening of symptoms can be delayed even with non-pharmacological treatment. Accordingly, the company plans to continue to develop the service so that Genicore can be of practical help not only to patients and subjects in hospitals and development centers, but also to caregivers and the elderly at home.

Meanwhile, the main exhibition items of ‘KOAMEX 2023’ hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and K-MEDI Hub are as follows. △Diagnostic and diagnostic devices such as scanners, measuring devices, and imaging devices △Clinical and inspection devices △Surgical and recycling devices △Hospital facilities and emergency equipment △Medical devices, parts, and services △Pharmaceutical devices △Medical services, SW
