Ible Photonics announced that it will participate in the ‘6th International Maritime and Defense Industry Exhibition (MADEX 7)’ held at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 9 in Busan from Wednesday, June 1th to Friday, June 13th.

Since developing piezoelectric single crystal materials since 2000, Ible Photonics has produced piezoelectric elements for medical ultrasonic transducers and underwater acoustic sensors for military use (submarine Jangbogo III heavy torpedo low-frequency sensor).

In this exhibition, we would like to introduce piezoelectric single crystal materials and present underwater acoustic sensors for military use using them. Officials explain that piezoelectric single crystal is a new material made entirely of domestic technology and shows 2 to 3 times better performance than existing (piezoelectric ceramics). It is an essential material for the development of high-performance sonar systems in developed countries (USA, Europe, etc.).

Regarding the advantages of applying piezoelectric single crystals, Ible Photonics provides a high-sensitivity sensor for the best performance (high sensitivity and signal size (high piezoelectric constant)), a small and lightweight sensor for optimization of sonar (wideband frequency and signal size (high piezoelectric/dielectric constant) )), a low-power, low-frequency sensor that operates for a long time (energy conversion efficiency (high electromechanical coupling/elasticity coefficient)) was selected.

So far, underwater acoustic sensors have been mass-produced and sold to defense industry companies such as the Agency for Defense Development, LIG NexXNUMX, and STX Engine. In addition, there are achievements such as mass production and sales of piezoelectric single crystal low-frequency sensors for heavy torpedo II, development of piezoelectric single crystal acoustic sensors for the development of light torpedo II system, export of piezoelectric single crystal elements to Company A, a British defense company, and mass production and sales of piezoelectric single crystal elements for industrial use at home and abroad.

We plan to sell the 3rd generation piezoelectric single crystal material currently in development for weapons system modification at the Defense Technology Advancement Research Institute, and to domestic and foreign defense companies and industrial transducer companies.

Meanwhile, MADEX 2023 is a ‘defense exhibition and government subsidy-supported exhibition (Korea Defense Industry Promotion Association)’ for publicity and export promotion of defense and export companies. Exhibition period ▲ Ships, submarines, maritime defense systems and equipment ▲ Marine equipment, marine exploration vessels and special vessels ▲ Defense industry-related products and technologies ▲ Engines and navigation systems ▲ Shipyards, shipbuilding equipment and materials ▲ Security systems and equipment ▲ Communication systems and equipment ▲ Logistics procurement Items ▲Maritime rescue and rescue equipment ▲Maritime safety related products ▲Maritime patrol aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles ▲GPS, GIS and IT ▲Amphibious assault vehicles, tanks, self-propelled artillery ▲Inflatable boats (IBS) and high-speed boats (RIB) are introduced.
