CGTech (CEO Jaeyoung Lim) announced that it will participate in the ‘6th International Maritime and Defense Industry Exhibition (MADEX 7)’ held at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 9 in Busan from Wednesday, June 1th to Friday, June 13th.
CGTech is a company that develops and sells VERICUT, software that simulates and optimizes programs required for CNC (computer numerical control) machining. It is headquartered in Irvine, California, USA, and was founded in 1988, celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. As a technology company that focuses only on CNC simulation technology, it is leading global CNC simulation and optimization technology.
Customer companies that use VERICUT span all areas, including aerospace, defense, heavy industry, mold, energy, and automobiles, and their sizes range from global brands to small and medium-sized enterprises, and educational and research institutions. We have maintained close technical partnerships with global machine tool, tool, and processing software suppliers. In order to provide simulations reflecting the latest processing technology without disruption, the software is updated every year and we help customers use the software through training, technical support, and user meetings. CGTech’s representative domestic customers in the aerospace and defense industries include Korean Air, KAI, Hanwha Aerospace, and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries.
VERICUT, which will be introduced at this exhibition, is software that applies digital twin technology to CNC machining, which creates objects and environments (twins) identical to the real thing in a virtual environment (computer) and verifies possible problems in advance through simulation, and moves machine tools. Verify the NC program that is absolutely necessary for Since not only the shapes of parts, tools, and machine tools but also their movements can be reproduced realistically, the risk of collisions and defects caused by the program can be confirmed and eliminated in advance before actual processing.
Due to the nature of machining in the aerospace and defense industries, which require precision machining of expensive special materials and difficult-to-cut materials, machining defects are a direct, large loss that is visible to the eye. Damage to equipment and tools not only leads to tangible and intangible losses such as repair and replacement costs and equipment idle time during the period, but can also lead to a decline in credit rating due to delayed delivery. The company said that VERICUT prevents such unfortunate events and enables safe processing. Additionally, the total processing time can be shortened because the time required for reprocessing or test processing is reduced.

A CGTech official said, “Awareness of VERICUT among major domestic and foreign manufacturing brands in the aerospace field is very high, and many companies are already using it. “At this exhibition, we would like to introduce VERICUT to major suppliers of large corporations and defense industry companies that directly perform CNC processing,” he said, explaining the background to his participation in the exhibition.
He continued, “In the aerospace and defense industries, delivery deadlines and product quality are particularly important, and although there are many cases of mass production, many products are often produced quickly and in small quantities, so it is not easy to compete in the global market without technological and price competitiveness. “The introduction of software VERICUT, which is recognized and used by major manufacturing brands in the industry, can increase trust in technology and help with price competitiveness,” he emphasized.
CGTech updates its software every year to ensure that VERICUT simulation smoothly reflects the latest processing technology and improves customer convenience. To help users easily utilize the software, basic training is provided free of charge and technical support is also provided. For companies considering the introduction of VERICUT, a free license can be provided for a certain period of time through consultation so that they can fully test it, or a test to reduce processing time using the VERICUT Force module is also possible.
