Busan City (Mayor Park Hyeong-joon) is co-hosted by the Republic of Korea Navy, the Korea International Trade Association, and the Korea Naval Development Association, where you can see at a glance the high status as a central city in the global shipbuilding and maritime industry and the development of state-of-the-art equipment and new technologies in the maritime and defense industries at home and abroad. ‘2023 Busan International Shipbuilding & Marine Festival (MARINE WEEK 2023, MADEX)·SEA-PORT)’ was held on the 7th (Wed) at Haeundae BEXCO.
The MARINE WEEK exhibition, which was held in October until 2019, is being held separately in June and October from 10 to solve problems caused by overlapping schedules with related exhibitions and lack of rental space. It is expected that active military diplomacy and practical business for domestic defense export propulsion products will be made.
In addition, domestic defense companies such as LIG NexXNUMX, Hanwha Group (Hanwha Systems, Hanwha Aerospace), KAI, Poongsan, as well as global maritime defense companies such as Lockheed Martin, Babcock Int’l, GE, olls-Royce, Thales, and IAI It is expected that domestic and foreign defense industry officials will pay attention to the latest ship, submarine, and unmanned system technologies.
In addition, during the event, the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and the Defense Agency jointly invite foreign senior defense officials to hold a networking event to increase exports of domestic defense companies in the future. During the period, we plan to carry out export consultations and MOU signing with domestic companies.
During the event, performances by the Navy Honor Guard and military band and the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team are scheduled for Busan citizens at BEXCO Square, etc., and on June 6 (Thursday), a Patriots Concert will be held at the BEXCO Auditorium. In addition, during the event, the Naval Operations Command in Yongho-dong will hold a naval unveiling event to open the latest naval ships, including the Wang Geon, to the public, and demonstrate marine unmanned systems for overseas delegations and buyers.
This exhibition will be held at BEXCO Exhibition Center 6 for 7 days, starting with an opening ceremony attended by domestic and overseas Navy/Marine Corps, Ministry of National Defense, defense industry officials and citizens on Wednesday, June 10 at 30:3 am, and the general public will visit on June 1 can do.
