Mango Slab is a company spun off from Samsung Electronics as an in-house venture in 2016 and is developing various ICT products based on micro-heating technology. At this CES 2023, it received the Innovation Award for the ‘ST Hair Straightener’, which minimizes hair damage with a unique micro heat control technology that measures 150 times per second. The product also attracted attention as it was the first hair straightener to win the CES Innovation Award.
ST’s self-developed dual heater enables high-speed heat generation and precise constant temperature maintenance, and helps users create hairstyles without excessive heat through a sophisticated heat control algorithm of more than 150 times per second.
Equipped with a 4-cell lithium-ion battery, it can be used without an electric cord at temperatures up to 210 degrees, and supports 60-minute fast charging and wired/wireless hybrid mode. In addition, the hidden hinge design, in which the hinge is not exposed to the outside, prevents hair damage caused by hair getting caught during use, allowing users to achieve optimal hair styling.
Mango Slab Vice President Ha-neul Yoon said, “Before starting CES 2023, our company was introduced at the ‘Must-see booth’ selected by global beauty companies.
