Imocogue Co., Ltd. (CEO Noh Yoo-heon, Lee Jun-young) announced that it will participate in ‘BIO KOREA 5’ held at COEX, Seoul for three days from May 10th (Wed) to 12th (Fri).
Emocog is a bio-digital healthcare platform company that treats and evaluates emotion and cognition. Seoul National University Medical School Professor Lee Jun-young, Chung-Ang University Medical School Anatomy Professor Roh Yoo-heon, and Cha University Medical School Professor Yoon Jeong-hye overcome the limitations of dementia treatment that they faced in the medical field through digital conversion, and so that everyone can maintain brain health and independent and independent life for a long time. It was co-founded in 2021 to help. Imocog is developing a dementia solution system that spans the entire life cycle from dementia screening to diagnosis, treatment, and management. Solutions currently under development include Cogscreen, a digital dementia early screening tool, Cognosis, a digital dementia diagnosis tool, Cogthera, a software medical device to improve mild cognitive impairment, and Cogcare, a cognitive training program for active seniors. (Cogcare).
The main product to be introduced at this exhibition is cog screen. CogScreen is a responsive web-based mobile dementia screening tool. It evaluates memory, information processing speed, executive function, etc., which are cognitive areas that deteriorate first due to dementia.
Corgscreen is specialized in early screening for dementia. It consists of tests sensitive to pathological changes (accumulation of amyloid beta and tau protein) that occur in the earliest stages of dementia. Because it is a digital-based non-face-to-face test, it can be conducted without restrictions in time and space or experts. The test takes only about 10 minutes, and the strength is that the test can be conducted easily and comfortably with simple words and figure-based tests. In addition, it is a fast and economical test that does not require human intervention by automating the examination, scoring, writing of the result report, as well as the part that required a clinician’s interview. Cogscreen is scheduled for release in 2023.
Early screening and management of dementia is known to be the key. Dementia is a disease that progresses over a long period of time, and if detected early, the worsening of symptoms can be significantly delayed through training and treatment. Regarding this, an official from Imocog said, “We developed the product to significantly reduce the incidence of dementia and help seniors grow old happily by providing a digital examination tool that can easily and quickly screen patients with mild cognitive impairment without time and space limitations. The goal is to allow the patient to die in the same state as they are, that is, with the ability to live a normal life maintained.”

In addition, “Cogterra is also scheduled to be released. Cogthera is a digital therapy (DTx) that provides cognitive ability improvement training such as memory, attention, and language skills through a smartphone. It was designed to minimize visual elements and enable interaction through voice conversation so that even elderly people who have difficulty operating digital devices can use it comfortably. It automatically creates content based on technology, accurately measures the patient’s cognitive ability, and provides training with a level of difficulty suitable for the individual.”
In September 2022, in recognition of its differentiated technology and high marketability, Cogthera was approved for a confirmatory clinical plan in the field of mild cognitive impairment in Korea, and is currently undergoing clinical trials at six hospitals nationwide.
