    Lee Jong-hwa, Deputy Mayor of Daegu Metropolitan City, said in a congratulatory speech at the ’12 Solar Power Market Insight (PVMI 2023)’ held at Daegu EXCO (CEO Lee Sang-gil) on the 2023th, “Experts who have contributed greatly to the development of the solar power industry under difficult conditions.     Deputy Mayor for Economy and Finance Lee Jong-hwa said, “The whole world is joining forces to respond to the climate crisis. “Countries such as the United States, the EU, and Korea are working to set a goal of carbon neutrality,” he said. “Western European countries have long focused on solar and wind power to achieve energy independence. To escape from fossil fuels. “Efforts to reduce dependence on fossil fuels are manifesting themselves in policy,” he added. 

    He continued, “In line with this, Daegu Metropolitan City is also pursuing policies to solidify energy security, such as creating carbon-neutral space and converting to low-carbon energy,” adding, “In particular, we are developing a smart project that produces solar energy by utilizing industrial space, which accounts for 15% of the city area. “We are pursuing an industrial complex rooftop solar power project, and this is forming a national consensus,” he emphasized.
