Lee Hyung-seok, manager of Korea Water Resources Corporation, participated as a speaker in the ’12 Solar Market Insight (PVMI 2023)’ floating solar market trend and forecast session held at EXCO (CEO Lee Sang-gil) in Daegu Metropolitan City on the 2023th and spoke about ‘2023 Floating PV Policy Trend’ disclosed about.
At the beginning of his presentation, Director Lee Hyung-seok mentioned the issue of responding to the climate crisis at home and abroad. Director Lee said, “According to the climate crisis response and energy security policy, active development of new and renewable energy is being carried out. .
Next, Manager Lee said, “The domestic solar power supply capacity showed a continuous growth trend, but in 2021, it showed a decline compared to the previous year for the first time, and in the case of last year, it decreased significantly.” and the Korea Rural Community Corporation, and it is continuously expanding its development.”
Manager Lee said that if floating solar power was in its infancy until 2013, it will be a leap forward from this year. He said, “This year, 6MW-class floating photovoltaic power projects will be promoted in six locations, including Soyanggang (Yanggu), Soyanggang (Chuncheon), Imha, Chungju, Gunwi, and Hapcheon. We will promote the development of floating solar power.”
Finally, Manager Lee announced the comprehensive plan related to floating photovoltaic power of Korea Water Resources Corporation. Manager Lee presented four plans: △RE100 cluster △Support for export companies △Technical development △Overseas export. Lee Hyeong-seok, general manager, said, “The floating photovoltaic development project within the dam of Korea Water Resources Corporation will contribute to improving the competitiveness of the national export industry and achieving the 4 carbon reduction target.”
