Kim Young-tak, executive director of business development at Siemens Energy Korea, was a speaker at the ’14rd Hydrogen Market Insights (H3MI)’ green hydrogen commercialization strategy session held at EXCO (CEO Lee Sang-gil) in Daegu on the 2th. Siemens Energy Hydrogen Commercialization Strategy’ was announced.
Director Kim Young-tak said, “The scale of projects in Europe and Germany is growing. We are concentrating on research and development to introduce new products in 2025,” he said. “We are in the process of further increasing capacity. If you look at the trend so far, the capacity is increasing 3 times every 4 to 10 years.”
He also introduced the ‘Silyzer 300’ product, which is undergoing its first project in Austria. Managing Director Kim said, “The product stack is in Germany, packaging is carried out locally, and France and the Czech Republic are also forming partnerships.” We mainly have packaging partners with European countries,” he explained.
He emphasized that the speed of technology in the hydrogen industry is fast, and that investment in R&D is fully implemented in line with this. Managing Director Kim said, “We will have a 1GW production facility within this year and a 2035GW production facility by 3.”
“We will continue R&D in the future, and we are also reviewing the alkaline part,” said Kim. Last month, we are producing results, such as receiving and supplying equipment for a 6MW project.” Lastly, Mr. Kim stressed that he will work hard to strengthen cooperation with Korean companies as well.
