The Korea Automobile Industry Association (Chairman Nam-Hoon Kang and Chairman of the Seoul Mobility Show Organizing Committee) held a mutual cooperation agreement ceremony for the development of the future mobility industry with the Aerospace Industry-Academia Convergence Institute (President Chang-Kyung Yoo) at the Automobile Hall on the 8th. This reflects the recent trend of expansion and convergence in the mobility industry beyond the spatial boundaries of land, sea, and air.
Through this agreement, the scope of mobility will be expanded based on the expertise and networks of both organizations, and the industry will be fostered, while providing mutual support for exhibitions hosted by both organizations.
First, the two organizations decided to maintain a continuous cooperative relationship that can encompass the entire future mobility industry, including technology development, training of excellent human resources, and industry-academia linkage programs.
In addition, we decided to actively support exhibitions hosted by both organizations (Seoul Mobility Show, K-UAM Confex) in key areas such as attracting participating companies, holding presentations, and operating joint pavilions. The Seoul Mobility Show is a comprehensive mobility exhibition hosted by the Korea Automobile Industry Association, and the K-UAM Confex, hosted by the Aerospace Industry-Academia Convergence Institute, is a UAM international event that combines a conference and an exhibition, and the third event is scheduled to be held in the second half of this year. .
An official from the organizing committee said, “We have signed this agreement to expand the scope to future mobility such as autonomous vehicles and UAM, and to discover and foster excellent companies and technologies.” He added, “Through this agreement, both organizations will contribute to the development of the future mobility industry.” “I look forward to laying the foundation for this,” he said.
In addition, it was said that it is meaningful in laying the foundation for an expanded industrial ecosystem through cooperation at the ‘3 Seoul Mobility Show’ to be held in March.
Meanwhile, the Seoul Mobility Show is Korea’s only international motor show recognized by the International Association of Automotive Industries (OICA) and is Korea’s largest mobility industry exhibition held every other year in odd-numbered years, starting with its first event in 1995.
