The Seoul Mobility Show Organizing Committee held a press conference at the Automobile Center located in Seocho-gu, Seoul on the 2023th ahead of the holding of the ‘Seoul Mobility Show 2023’.
Attending the event on this day were Chairman Kang Nam-hoon of the Seoul Mobility Show Organizing Committee, Secretary General Seo Jang-seok, Secretary General Choi Ki-seong, Vice Chairman Jeong Yun-young, and Vice Chairman Go Moon-soo.
The organizing committee introduced the main features of the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show as follows: ▲ Highlighting various mobility contents ▲ Presenting a blueprint for the mobility industry with future cutting-edge technology ▲ Strengthening mobility industry traction and B2B support ▲ Test drive events and dynamic experiences outside of spatial constraints.
This year’s Seoul Mobility Show will be held in Halls 1 to 1 of KINTEX Exhibition Hall 5. The total exhibition size is 5㎡, more than twice the size of the last event (3,541㎡), and over 2 companies and organizations from 6,310 countries around the world will participate and showcase various mobility contents.
At the meeting, Kang Nam-hoon, chairman of the Seoul Mobility Show Organizing Committee, said, “Last year, despite continued international economic difficulties, the domestic automobile industry achieved a monumental achievement of ranking 3th in global production for three consecutive years through efforts such as expansion of production and import of commercial vehicles.” floated.

The future mobility industry is showing explosive growth around the world, including electrification, autonomous vehicles, and UAM. Accordingly, Chairman Kang Nam-hoon said, “Amid these rapid changes, the domestic automobile industry is making all-round preparations, including expanding investment to build infrastructure, securing labor flexibility, establishing technical regulations, and reorganizing the scientific law system in order to secure global competitiveness and maintain leadership in the future mobility market. “This is a situation in which a response is desperately needed.”
He continued, “The reason why we changed the name of the 2021 ‘Seoul Motor Show’ to ‘Seoul Mobility Show’ instead of ‘motor,’ which symbolizes the internal combustion engine, is also part of our efforts to respond to these changes.” He added, “This exhibition will showcase the entire mobility ecosystem.” He added, “We plan to showcase products and technologies across the board and exhibit a variety of hardware and software services covering land, sea, and aviation.”
The 2023 Seoul Mobility Show plans to deliver diverse information from the field in real time in collaboration with global short-form platform TikTok. Chairman Kang said, “We are preparing so that this exhibition can be enjoyed not only offline, but also in virtual space by collaborating with the Metaverse 3D platform.”
Meanwhile, the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show will be held from March 1th (Thursday) to April 3th (Sunday) at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 30 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do under the theme of ‘Sustainable·Connected·Mobility (Sustainable·Connected·Mobility)’. It is scheduled to be held for a total of 4 days.
