DPICO Co., Ltd. (CEO Song Shin-geun) announced that it will participate in the ‘3 Seoul Mobility Show’, which will be held at KINTEX for a total of 31 days from March 4 to April 9.

DPECO, established in July 1998, is responsible for the automobile development sector (design, product design, prototype production, experimental evaluation, etc.), production technology sector, quality and quality development work, as well as all tasks ranging from shipment to quality stability. By applying Simultaneous Engineering, we are contributing to achieving the goals of ‘Q, C, D (Quality, Cost, Delivery)’.

In addition, in the general manufacturing field, the company transformed from a comprehensive digital production engineering company that responds to new technologies such as cost reduction, 5S, and line automation to a company that develops, produces, and sells electric vehicles since 2017.

There are two types of EV trucks on display at this exhibition: the ultra-compact P250 and the light truck P350. It is a small EV truck that can be used for various purposes such as narrow alleys, early morning delivery, food trucks, and camping, and is optimized for short-distance transportation and logistics delivery.

The maximum speed of the P250 is 70 km/h and it can travel up to 80 km on a single charge. The newly released P350 has a maximum speed of 100 km/h and can travel more than 120 km on a single charge, and the official explains that it can establish itself as an important means of transportation suitable for the existing two-wheeled vehicle market and transporting small and medium-sized cargo weighing less than 1 ton.

DPICO cited the sliding door as a feature of its vehicle, the first of its kind in Korea’s ultra-small cargo electric vehicle. In addition, the cargo box has a ground clearance of 680mm, which makes loading and unloading cargo more convenient than existing trucks, and boasts the highest loading capacity in its class. Other advantages include the convenient and optimized driver’s seat height for getting on and off, a battery pack using Samsung SDI battery cells, and an independent heating and cooling system. The localization rate of parts is currently over 87%.

An official from DPICO said, “By launching the P350 this year, we aim to increase sales by establishing ourselves as a small EV truck specialist in name and reality. To this end, we plan to obtain European certification in the first half of the year and enter the related market in earnest. In addition, we will increase our market share by establishing a sales strategy tailored to the B2G/B2B/B2C market, and we are planning to develop and produce autonomous vehicles in collaboration with AI platform companies.”

In addition, “We want to export engineering consulting technology, such as overseas electric vehicle development and factory construction, to the world. “We will advance into the e-mobility service-related market and become a leader in the e-mobility industry, both in name and reality,” he said.

Meanwhile, the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show will be held on the theme of ‘Sustainable Connected Mobility (Sustainable and Intelligent Mobility Revolution)’ at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, starting with Press Day on March 3 (Thursday) and ending on April 30 ( days) to be held.
