FiberPro Co., Ltd. (CEO Yeon-wan Ko) announced that it will participate in the ‘3 Seoul Mobility Show’, which will be held at KINTEX for a total of 31 days from March 4 to April 9.
FiberPro, a leading manufacturer of optical measurement, has been contributing to the development of the optical fiber sensor business since it began business in 1995.
The products exhibited at this exhibition are the Gyroscope (Fiber Optic Gyroscope: FOG), which measures the rotational motion of a rotating body, which is an essential hardware for unmanned automation and automation, and the Inertial Gyroscope, a device that measures the acceleration and rotational motion of moving objects such as airplanes and cars. It is an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU).
In particular, the company explains that it provides an optical fiber-based inertial sensor, boasting a long lifespan due to its high performance (high precision) and resistance to electromagnetic waves. In particular, it was emphasized that excellent price competitiveness was secured compared to the same performance at home and abroad.
A FiberPro official said, “Our gyroscope (FOG) and inertial measurement unit (IMU) are domestic products developed purely with our own technology, and we are the only light-based inertial sensor manufacturer in Korea. In particular, optical fiber-based inertial sensors have better performance than other types of sensors and are strong against electromagnetic waves, showing a long lifespan.”

He continued, “Our company has secured space through expansion to prepare for the expected increase in production and increase in research and development space. Through this, we are preparing to respond to the civil market in various fields such as UAM, self-driving vehicles, and unmanned systems based on robot automation technology,” he said. “Currently, the sensor group accounts for most of the sales in the domestic defense industry and overseas civil markets.” “We hope that through this exhibition, we will gain momentum in entering the domestic civilian market, including UAM and autonomous vehicles.”
Meanwhile, the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show will be held on the theme of ‘Sustainable Connected Mobility (Sustainable and Intelligent Mobility Revolution)’ at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, starting with Press Day on March 3 (Thursday) and ending on April 30 ( days) to be held. The total exhibition size is 4㎡, more than twice as large as the previous event (9㎡), and more than 53,541 companies and institutions from 26,310 countries around the world will participate to showcase various mobility contents.
