Ineos Automotive is an affiliate of Ineos Group, a British petrochemical company, and began developing automobiles in 2017. The Grenadier, which started with the idea of Ineos Group Chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe, was created with the goal of being a 4X4 vehicle with best-in-class off-road performance, durability, and practicality.
It combines British spirit and design with German thorough engineering, and is equipped with a proven engine that has won multiple awards, a trapezoidal frame chassis, a permanent four-wheel drive system, up to three locking differentials, and a solid beam axle. Consumers can easily select and configure Grenadier’s various options and accessories to create their own car.
Practicality is the key to Grenadier’s design, and it was designed clearly and straightforwardly, with form and ability according to function as the top priority. The interior was also designed to be functional and intuitive. The analog central control system and aircraft-style overhead control panel are impressive, and the functions are arranged with buttons and dials that are clearly visible at a glance.
A powerful engine and reliable transmission double the Grenadier’s off-road capabilities. It is powered by BMW’s 3.0-liter in-line 6-cylinder turbocharged engine, which has been recognized with various awards, and the B57 diesel engine is scheduled to be released first in the domestic market.
It is also equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF, the industry’s leading transmission manufacturer. The transmission, carefully tuned and calibrated by Magna-Steyr, is equipped with a heavy-duty torque converter specialized for off-road use.
