Korea Mobility (CEO Park Jeong-seok) will participate in the ‘2023 Seoul Mobility Show’, which opens on March 31st and will be held at KINTEX for a total of 10 days until April 9th, and will present ‘Komo Bike’, a futuristic hubless electric bicycle without a saddle. Bike)’ was submitted.
KOREA MOBILITY Co., Ltd., founded by automotive engineering experts and researchers in 2020 with the goal of ‘creating mobility that customers want to ride,’ provides smart mobility products such as electric kickboards, electric bicycles, and electric motorcycles. It is a technology startup that conducts product research and development, manufacturing, and production.
‘Komo Bike’, a hubless E-Bike developed by Korea Mobility, is a hubless type product with a different drive method and no spokes on the wheel than existing electric bicycles. It is a bicycle with a special design that is different from other structures. It passed the rigorous certification process and tests and became the first in the world to receive European CE certification. In addition, its name became known globally through ‘Eurobike’, one of the world’s top three mobility exhibitions.
COMO Bike’s patented motor, controller, and patented regenerative technology that can charge the battery by going downhill or pedaling increase the driving range, allowing you to travel a distance of about 100 km or more on a single charge. By default, a lithium-ion battery is installed, but if you choose a supercapacitor battery, it can be fully charged in 30 minutes. The advantage of the supercapacitor battery jointly developed domestically is that it has higher energy density and no fire risk compared to lithium-ion batteries commonly used in existing electric bicycle products.
In addition, it is a solid type product made with a self-developed compound and is equipped with ‘airless’ tires that do not pose a risk of punctures. The sturdy self-made aluminum frame also proved the product’s sturdiness and safety through an appropriate combination of bonding method and special welding. Beyond lithium batteries, which are compatible with lithium batteries but often have fire issues, additional development and testing of all-solid-state hybrid batteries with no risk of fire or explosion are currently in progress.
Kim Kirin, director of Korea Mobility, said, “We are developing drone bikes and fuel cells, which are future transportation methods beyond land mobility. In particular, the drone bike, which is being developed for the first time in the world, is a flying bike that can be used as a means of exercise like a bicycle in everyday life and can fly like a helicopter when commuting to work. “I want to become Korea’s leading mobility company with all parts made 100% domestically,” he said, expressing his future aspirations.
Meanwhile, the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show will begin with a press day on March 1th (Thursday) at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 3 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do under the theme of ‘Sustainable·Connected·Mobility (Sustainable·Connected·Mobility)’ and end on April 30th ( It will be held until Sunday. The total exhibition size is 4㎡, more than twice the size of the previous event (9㎡), and over 53,541 companies and organizations from 26,310 countries around the world will participate and showcase various mobility contents.
