Porsche unveiled its sports concept car ‘Vison 30’ for the first time in Asia at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show on the 357th of last month, receiving enthusiastic responses from visitors.
Vision 357 is a concept car that pays homage to the brand’s first sports car, the ‘Porsche 75’, in celebration of the 356th anniversary of Porsche’s sports car this year. Based on the 356 model, it has a monolithic (integrated) form and is equipped with a naturally aspirated 6-cylinder boxer engine, producing a maximum output of 500 horsepower. Additionally, it is designed to be able to use e-Fuel.
In addition, the extended wheel base length to accommodate more batteries also attracts attention. Starting with the Porsche Taycan, this shows Porsche’s will to lead the global market by strengthening its design value and vision to advance the era of electrification by 2030 and its growth roadmap to new car development.
The light signature, which captures a progressive vision of the future and has improved performance, is also a standout element. Like all current Porsche models, the front of the Vision 357 is equipped with a 4-point light signet, and the round design of the headlight is reminiscent of the lighting feature of the 356.
The 20-inch wheels mounted on the vehicle are made of magnesium and are equipped with aerodynamically advantageous carbon fiber covers and central locking devices. The exterior reflects Porsche’s unique design, emphasizing a future-oriented and progressive image.
In addition, the front bumper reflects the gray tone that was popular color 70 years ago, and a camera was installed on the front fender instead of side mirrors. At the same time, the 75th anniversary logo was engraved on the front of the vehicle’s bonnet and door.
