Blueleo (CEO Seung-min Lee) announced that it will participate in the 3th International Medical Equipment and Hospital Equipment Exhibition ‘KIMES 23’, which will be held at COEX, Seoul from March 26rd (Thursday) to 38th (Sunday).
Blue Leo is a company established as an oral care brand. In 2019, it developed and introduced the electric suction toothbrush ‘G100’ with its own technology for socially disadvantaged people who cannot brush their teeth on their own. This is considered the company’s flagship product that achieved sales of 1.6 billion won in three years after driving sales of 3 million won at the time of launch.
Blue Leo plans to expand its awareness again by introducing the G100 at this exhibition. It is a product that provides sonic vibration and toothbrush suction functions to help with effective brushing of teeth and convenient discharge of toothbrush. Based on its functional characteristics, it is introduced as an optimized product for seriously ill patients, the disabled, and the elderly who have difficulty moving or are unable to control themselves. For example, the company explained that in a nursing environment in Japan, the effect of reducing tooth brushing time from about 30 minutes to less than 10 minutes was confirmed.
Furthermore, Blueleo’s G100 was registered as 95 patents in major countries such as the US, Europe, and Japan through 28 intellectual property rights (IP) applications at home and abroad, and was exported to over 20 buyers in 30 countries. In particular, in Norway and the United States, it is registered as a medical assistive device, significantly lowering the burden on consumers, and sales of the product are expected to increase rapidly in the future.
An official from Blueleo said, “While we have focused on establishing an export base by participating in overseas exhibitions held in Germany, Japan, etc., we would like to use KIMES 2023 as an opportunity to further strengthen our promotion in Korea,” adding, “We will promote our products to the general public as well as the G100.” “We will also exhibit electric toothbrush models such as ‘S150’ and ‘B200’ to raise awareness of local oral care brands,” he said, explaining the reason for participating in this exhibition.
Plans and vision for market expansion were also shared. An official said, “We have confirmed feedback from countries around the world through clinical and PoC tests at home and abroad, and through this, we have launched or are preparing to launch various localized models. “An example is the Japanese model ‘G100J’ that was introduced earlier,” he said. “Reflecting local tendencies, culture, and nursing care environment, we added a dual mode in which vibration and suction functions operate simultaneously, and we added a miniaturized toothbrush head. “It is a product that fully reflects the voices of customers throughout the product,” he explained.
He added, “If the G100J model receives a good response in countries other than Japan, we plan to launch it in the global market as an official upgrade model to the G100.”
