[Las Vegas (USA) = AVING News] Seoul Digital Foundation (Chairman Kang Je-sik) held the ‘CES (Consumer Electronic Electronics Show) held in Las Vegas, USA for a total of 4 days from January 5th (Thursday) to 8th (Sunday, local time). It was announced locally that meaningful achievements are being created in ‘Show 2023’.
The foundation held the ‘3rd Stage Eureka’ in July 2022 to recruit companies participating in CES 2023 and participated in CES 2023 with 10 companies selected through IR pitching. Among these, four companies achieved the feat of winning five ‘CES 2023 Innovation Awards’ and were recognized for their technology, design, and innovation.

This CES 2023, in which about 3,100 companies from 173 countries participated, captivated the attention of visitors by highlighting five core trends: ▲digital healthcare ▲food tech ▲future mobility ▲Web 3.0 and metaverse ▲smart home.
Among the 10 companies supported by the foundation, Smartus Korea (CEO Son Ho-jeong), which developed a home oral monitoring device, finalized a local equipment purchase contract worth $101,300 and held a contract signing ceremony at the integrated center. Smartus Korea continues to achieve success by receiving innovation awards in the CES 2023 Digital Health and Software Mobile App categories.
Smatus Korea, established in 2019, has developed an oral monitoring device that can check the condition of teeth (whether caries or not) at home. This solution can check the condition of teeth through sound and LED color, and can save measured values as numbers and monitor the results through its own mobile application.
Visits by key figures continued. Minister of SMEs and Startups Lee Young said, “CES 2023 seems to be swept by Korean startups,” and added, “We will provide generous support for startups’ global expansion and growth.”
Koo Ja-yeol, president of the Korea International Trade Association, also visited the integration hall with about 20 officials from various organizations and companies and heard explanations about the products and solutions of innovative companies such as ▲Mars Auto, ▲Beacon, ▲AlgoCare, ▲Smatus Korea, and ▲CNAI.
Officials from the Quebec government in charge of investment in Silicon Valley and from overseas organizations such as Plug and Play also followed suit. They conducted B2B with companies in various fields such as Metaverse, IoT, and AI, and discussed ways to create new markets and cooperate for sustainable business. Andrew Lim, executive director of the Quebec Delegation to Korea, said, “This will be an opportunity for active exchanges between innovative companies in Seoul and Quebec.”
Seoul Digital Foundation Chairman Kang Je-sik said, “Reflecting on the meaning of ‘BE IN IT,’ the slogan of this CES 2023, we will approach the exhibition with the mindset of allowing visitors from all over the world to fall in love with Seoul’s innovative companies.” He emphasized, “We will do our best to support and operate in the field to create results.”
Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition, is an exhibition where you can understand the trends of the global home appliance industry at a glance. Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), it is held every January in Las Vegas, USA.
