An official explained that, with a differentiated strategy of medical silicone adhesive for the problems of acrylic adhesive products that are widely used in daily life, it has entered overseas markets beyond the domestic market and has global competitiveness.
In this exhibition, ‘Visil Gel’ and ‘Cooling Band’ were mainly exhibited. Visil Gel, a second-class medical device, is a gel-type product using medical silicone that soothes, improves, and protects first-degree burns and dry skin caused by laser output. In particular, it has been introduced that it improves skin damage that can occur due to radiation heat during radiation treatment for cancer. In addition, it is characterized by the fact that it can be used in various ways, such as after skin beauty laser treatment or light burns from the sun in summer.
“The size of the radiation therapy market is expected to reach $2023 billion in 68 due to the increase in cancer incidence and the increase in symposiums on the benefits of radiation therapy,” said a COBUILD official. Investments by the government and private companies are also increasing. In response to this demand, we have developed our own technology and various patents by grafting ‘Visil Gel’, which is effective for first-degree burns caused by laser output, with safe medical silicone,” he explained.
In addition, “Visil Gel signed a domestic distributor contract with a pharmaceutical company with sales of 2000 billion won at the same time as the approval was completed. High sales are expected through exclusive contracts for new products following the sole distributor contract for Renoscar Sheet and Gel, its scar care products,” he expressed expectations.

The cooling band presented together is a compression bandage containing the cooling technology of British Physicool and a quick cooling solution composed of eco-friendly and body-suitable ingredients. The company said that it effectively reduces swelling and pain by providing compression and cooling effects to muscles and joints caused by sports activities as well as injuries in daily life. In addition, it was emphasized that there is no side effect of ice burn that can occur due to cooling using ordinary ice.
The cooling band, which was developed for muscle cooling after racing horses, was recognized for its usability and effectiveness, and was upgraded to be used on humans, and was first launched at the London Marathon in 2007. Currently, it is distributed in 27 countries around the world, and approval is underway in Korea.

Through this, meeting with domestic and foreign companies was possible, and overseas competitiveness was also confirmed. We plan to release a product whose safety has been verified as a whitening and wrinkle-improving cosmetic that has burn treatment effects by combining it with existing silicone gel products.”
