Weisen (CEO Kim Kyung-nam) participated in the 3th International Medical Equipment & Hospital Equipment Exhibition ‘KIMES 23’ held at COEX, Seoul from March 26 (Thu) to 38 (Sun).
Since its establishment in 2019, Weissen has been developing a precision medical platform based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology, specializing in ‘AI Medtech’. We aim to contribute to the treatment and resuscitation of patients with AI technology that can be usefully used in the medical field. As part of this vision, we develop and provide medical and healthcare services based on real-time image analysis technology and medical big data. are doing
‘WAYMED endo’ was born based on this R&D experience, and Waysen attracted the attention of visitors by introducing it at the KIMES 2023 exhibition site.
WAYMED endo is a solution that combines real-time image analysis technology with endoscopy to detect abnormal lesions in the stomach and colon. After AI detects polyps found during examination in real time, it provides visual and auditory notifications to medical staff. It was selected as an innovation award for two consecutive years from CES, the world’s largest IT and home appliance exhibition, to this year’s exhibition, and has already obtained a second-class license for medical devices.
In the case of ‘WAYMED cough’, which was introduced along with this, it was introduced as a solution that uses a smartphone to diagnose and manage respiratory health conditions. When using the application (app), it records sounds such as breathing, coughing, and voice, and provides results after comprehensively analyzing them with AI. This enables ‘self-screening’ for respiratory health in everyday life, and this also achieved the feat of being selected for the Innovation Award at CES 2023.
Learning data that enables AI to improve and maintain self-diagnosis accuracy was obtained through joint research with Gangnam Severance Hospital (WAYMED endo) and Gangneung Asan Hospital (WAYMED cough) and IRB. As a result, the diagnostic accuracy of these solutions is known to reach 90% level.

Weisen said, “We are proud to have contributed to promoting Korea’s advanced medical technology by presenting a solution that combines AI and medical services by participating in the last CES 2023.” It was meaningful to publicize our excellent products in domestic and overseas markets and to discover additional references.”
Furthermore, Weisen also introduced ‘WAYMED Ebus’, an AI ultrasound endoscopy solution that was also selected for the Innovation Award at CES 2023.
On the other hand, KIMES is an exhibition specializing in medical devices and hospital facilities that has grown steadily with the development of the Korean medical industry since its first meeting in 1980. It has transformed into a technology-intensive high-tech industry such as rehabilitation medicine.
In KIMES 2023, new technologies and products suitable for the era of convergence, such as smart healthcare in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, robot medical care and eco-friendly medical waste facilities, advanced hospital facilities, medical information systems combined with IT technology, and the automobile industry for rapid patient transportation, will be presented. showed off In addition, various information was provided, including seminars on medical technology, new technologies, and overseas marketing, as well as domestic medical industry policy seminars to show the latest information and the direction of the medical industry.
