L&Robotics Co., Ltd. (CEO Jaesoon Choi, Seonghan Bae) participated in the 3th International Medical Equipment & Hospital Equipment Exhibition ‘KIMES 23’ held at COEX, Seoul from March 26 (Thu) to 38 (Sun).
L&Robotics was founded in 2012 from the medical robot research team of Seoul Asan Medical Center, which was established in 2019, and is a medical robot company founded based on the medical robot technology capabilities and know-how of Seoul Asan Hospital. Currently, it possesses commercial medical robot technology centered on artificial intelligence-based interventional robots for cardiovascular disease, and is building a medical robot pipeline based on demand for clinical sites such as treatment, rehabilitation, and hospital services.
‘AVIAR’, which was introduced at this exhibition, is the first cardiovascular interventional robot in Korea. AVIAR V1 obtained FDA clinical trial plan approval and conducted two exploratory clinical trials. In addition, AVIAR V2 has completed product certification by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
When using the AVIAR, the operator can control the operation robot away from it and reduce the operation time, thereby minimizing radiation exposure to the operator and the patient. In addition, by upgrading the operator’s haptic interface, real-time information useful for the procedure is provided. This helps in complicated procedures and reduces the dependence on operator skill.

CEO Seong-Han Bae said, “We successfully completed our Series B investment in the second half of this year and plan to enter the global market by proceeding with licenses in the US, Europe, and China next year.” We are continuing to develop differentiated technologies such as interface implementation and modularized procedure setups that are quick and easy to change.”
He continued, “We plan to commercialize AI technology that helps fast and safe procedures on the robot platform we have introduced. “We are improving AI performance through Asan Medical Center’s clinical know-how and big data,” he said. We will expand to ”, he said.
L&Robotics’ AVIAR V2 has completed product certification by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and will conduct clinical trials in major domestic hospitals in the second half of this year, and will be sold to major domestic hospitals from next year.

On the other hand, KIMES is an exhibition specializing in medical devices and hospital facilities that has grown steadily with the development of the Korean medical industry since its first meeting in 1980. It has transformed into a technology-intensive high-tech industry such as rehabilitation medicine.
In KIMES 2023, new technologies and products suitable for the era of convergence, such as smart healthcare in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, robot medical care and eco-friendly medical waste facilities, advanced hospital facilities, medical information systems combined with IT technology, and the automobile industry for rapid patient transportation, will be presented. showed off In addition, various information was provided, including seminars on medical technology, new technologies, and overseas marketing, as well as domestic medical industry policy seminars to show the latest information and the direction of the medical industry.
