    Gwangju-based home appliance company Ideas (CEO Baek Hyung-rae) will participate in ‘CES 1’ held in Las Vegas, USA for a total of 5 days from January 8th (Thursday) to 4th (Sunday, local time) and introduce an intelligent smart home real-time monitoring system. .

    Ideas is a venture company and industrial design company located in the Gwangju High-Tech Research and Development Special Zone. It manufactures and sells home appliances that it researches and develops. Ideas has launched a large number of innovative products equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies through continuous research and development. In addition, it was selected as the Gwangju joint brand ‘GIEL’, which was developed for the purpose of expanding the sales channel for small and medium-sized home appliances in the Gwangju region. 

    Ideas, which participated in the CES 2023 Gwangju joint brand promotion hall operated by Gwangju City and Gwangju Techno Park, will unveil an intelligent smart home care system that is installed in specific areas such as the entrance and living room to monitor non-contact entry or movement in real time at this exhibition. The feature is that real-time movement UWB radar data and photo images can be monitored using a smartphone app, and real-time non-face-to-face monitoring (designated person’s family, welfare workers, etc.) is also possible. 

    It is a product that facilitates the continuous health management of the elderly living alone and allows immediate response to lonely deaths and emergencies. The company predicts that in the future, it can be applied to patient protection facilities that require constant protection and management, such as nursing hospitals for the elderly, single-person households where there is a risk of home invasion crimes, homes with infants and young children, and places where pet care is needed. 

    Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition, is an exhibition where you can understand the trends of the global home appliance industry at a glance. Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), it is held every January in Las Vegas, USA.
