LG Electronics will participate in ‘CES 1’, the world’s largest IT and home appliance exhibition, opening in Las Vegas, USA on January 5 (local time) and introduce its smart sleep care solution ‘Breeze (brid.zzz)’.

Breeze has the meaning of ‘giving customers a refreshing morning like a breeze.’ It consists of a dedicated wireless earset that measures brain waves and plays sleep care sounds, and an app that analyzes customer sleep data and provides sleep care solutions.

The wireless earsets are ergonomically designed to fit the shape of your ears and provide a stable and comfortable fit even while you sleep. At the same time, the weight of only 6g based on one earbud minimizes the burden even when worn for a long time.

The case that charges and stores the earset supports UV nano function to help keep the product clean and manageable. UV Nano is a compound word of UV LED, which reduces harmful bacteria, and nanometer, the unit of wavelength of ultraviolet rays.

Breeze takes care of customers’ sleep with a variety of sound sources, including ‘brain wave synchronization sound’, lullabies composed by domestic and foreign artists such as Lucid Fall, and ASMR, which is like the sounds of nature. Breeze has over 80 built-in sounds, and also provides a function to add brain wave synchronization sounds to music or YouTube videos that customers enjoy.

In particular, in the case of brain wave synchronization sound, the difference generated by listening to different frequencies in the left and right brains induces brain waves that promote falling asleep or transitioning to a specific sleep state. It is known that brain waves of 0.5 to 3 Hz flow in a state of deep sleep, and in order to induce brain waves of 2 Hz, this function plays a sound with a frequency of 100 Hz to the left ear and 98 Hz or 102 Hz to the right ear. This helps customers enter deep sleep.

Brain wave synchronization sounds such as ‘Static Binaural Beat’, which repeats existing fixed frequencies, and ‘Dynamic Binaural Beat’, which LG Electronics researched and developed in-house, are also provided. In particular, dynamic binaural beats are characterized by frequencies that change in real time. As such, Breeze’s goal is to monitor customers’ brain waves based on differentiated brain wave detection technology and provide optimal frequencies according to their sleep status to help them sleep well.

Furthermore, Breeze analyzes the customer’s sleep pattern, learns on its own, and suggests better sleep patterns. In addition, it provides care solutions based on optimal sleep patterns and further improves sleep quality. In addition, the product’s built-in brain wave detection sensor detects the user’s brain waves in real time to detect the ‘hypnagogic stage’, which is the state in which consciousness remains just before falling asleep, and ‘REM sleep’, ‘shallow sleep’, and ‘deep sleep’ corresponding to the sleep stages. ‘, ‘awakening during sleep’, etc. are precisely measured at each stage.

Breeze also records information such as the customer’s sleeping position and the number of times they toss and turn during sleep, as well as bedtime and wake-up times. At the same time, daily life data, such as the number of steps taken during the day, is collected using a smartphone with the app installed. For example, on days when there is a lot of activity, such as walking more than 2 steps a day, care is taken to ensure that the patient enters and maintains a deep sleep state early, which is known to help recover from physical fatigue, and maintains it for a long time.

The company explained that Breeze is an innovative model planned and launched by Sleepwave Company, one of the CICs (independent companies) operated by LG Electronics to foster new businesses and pioneer new markets. Sleepwave Company ran an experience group of about 10 people from October last year to the end of last month to collect various feedback in order to identify customer pain points in advance. In addition, areas requiring future improvement will be reflected in the product and are scheduled to be released in Korea as early as the first half of this year.

At this CES, LG Electronics will organize the ‘LG Labs Zone’, which will exhibit experimental and innovative products and services, including Breeze. Here, the shared mobility wireless charging station service ‘Plus Spot’, the new concept exercise equipment ‘Hover Gym’, and the ‘Excycle’, which gives the immersive experience of riding a real bicycle indoors, will be unveiled.

LG Electronics explained, “LG Labs is a project that introduces advanced products through an experimental and flexible process to provide customers with a differentiated and new brand experience.”

Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition, is an exhibition where you can understand the trends of the global home appliance industry at a glance. Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), it is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 1 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 17, and has been selected as the ‘BEST OF CES’, which selects the best innovative products and technologies, and the ‘BEST OF’, which selects domestic innovative companies. ‘MADE IN KOREA’ was held. In addition, CES on-site issues were vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.
