Pumpkin Company will participate in CES 1, the world’s largest IT and home appliance expo, which opens in Las Vegas, USA on January 5 (local time).
Pumpkin Company is a companion animal medical data startup that was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ private investment support program TIPS in April this year. Furthermore, in June, it attracted strategic investment from GC (Green Cross Holdings).
At this CES, Pumpkin Company will introduce the ‘Pumpkin Device’, which tracks and manages the health status of pets based on biometric data.
The Pumpkin device is a pet wearable device that can collect data such as pet heart rate, breathing rate, and activity level, and is designed to be used in combination with the collar used by pets. The goal is to analyze the emotional state, location, and lifestyle habits of your pet. In addition, it is possible to determine the amount of exercise, eating and defecation patterns, and abnormalities such as coughing and vomiting.
Data accuracy has been improved based on deep learning technology research, and the feature is that the collected data can be delivered to guardians in connection with a mobile application (app). This allows you to check your pet’s condition in real time without time or space restrictions.
Pumpkin Company predicted that in the future, Pumpkin devices will be able to meet the demand for communication between guardians and companion animals and serve as a medical device that predicts disease conditions in animals. To this end, we plan to advance technology to enable early detection of disease signals or behavioral problems.
