AMP Co., Ltd. participated in the ‘Drone Show Korea 2’ held at BEXCO, Busan from February 23rd (Thursday) to 25th (Saturday).
AMP is a company specializing in environmental weather observation. AMP, which introduced the commercialized eH-216 airframe, is working on developing a UAM platform by forming various consortia for the upcoming PAV-UAM market.
At this exhibition, four aircraft were introduced: WD4-750 weather observation drone, WD-KAF local weather observation drone, fine dust measurement SMPS drone system, and AMP-RD-1100.
The WD4-750 weather observation drone has been conducting weather observation and 1.5D mapping at an altitude of 3 km above the Russell Glacier for three years. Currently, an aircraft that actually observed the skies above Russell Glacier is on display. AMP-RD-3 is a crime prevention patrol drone. It is being delivered as a smart business aircraft in 1100 together with Ulju-gun, and is providing safety to residents through daily surveillance.
The WD-KAF local weather observation drone is being supplied directly to the Republic of Korea Air Force, and as the first high-flying drone in Korea, it provides a lot of information to the military through observed data. The SMPS drone system for measuring fine dust can determine the distribution of fine dust and precursors in the atmosphere, and by applying vertical flight trajectories, it is possible to create a three-dimensional distribution map by operating multiple gases in upwind and downwind areas.
Kim Tae-hong, a senior researcher at AMP, said, “We believe that our company is a company specialized in the Drone Show Korea, which we participate in every year. “We are receiving a lot of interest from people who are interested in the environment or related to the military.”
