Shinhan Port Co., Ltd. participated in the ‘Drone Show Korea 2’ held at BEXCO, Busan from February 23rd (Thursday) to 25th (Saturday).
Shinhan Port is a company that produces various maps using aerial cameras and strives to advance domestic spatial information technology. For the first time in Korea, we are installing an L-Band SAR sensor on an unmanned helicopter to build a system that enables precise monitoring of disaster prevention and infrastructure such as reservoirs, dams, and slopes.
At this exhibition, the L-Band sensor introduced in unmanned helicopters was introduced. The latest SAR sensors use microwaves with a length of 1 to 100 cm and are unaffected by weather and day and night conditions. L-Band has a wavelength of 23cm and can penetrate trees and shallow shrubs to acquire pure ground signals.
An official from Shinhan Port said, “As the drone industry is developing, we have recently entered the stage of creating a national map using drones. “The drone business will gradually develop in the future,” he said. They also expressed their ambition to “become a leading company in 3D spatial information.”
