SM Tech (CEO Kim Hyun-bok) will participate in ‘KOPLAS 3 (14th International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition)’ to be held at KINTEX in Ilsan for 18 days from Tuesday, March 5th to Saturday, March 2023th. revealed.

SM Tech is the Korean distributor for BORUNTE, a manufacturer of orthogonal robots and articulated robots, and NEWOMAP, a manufacturer of dehumidifiers and gravimetric mixers. In addition, the company designs, manufactures, sells, and services injection peripheral devices and automation equipment domestically. Our vision is to act as a partner to enable smooth production on site while minimizing the burden on companies due to investment in robots, automation equipment, and peripheral facilities at the injection site.

SM Tech, which introduced the robot brand called BORUNTE into Korea, plans to increase awareness through this exhibition. We want to move away from formal promotions and approach more visitors in a friendly way through basketball events.

BORUNTE’s Cartesian robot supports 13 languages, and can use a variety of jigs with 2 chucks and 4 suction lines provided as standard. It has the advantage of sufficient external input and output so that it can be easily linked with external devices, and when teaching a program, complex operations can be designed without additional program costs as it is open source. The official explains that the price range is reasonable while providing the necessary options as standard.

An SM Tech official said, “When domestic injection molding companies purchase robots, most of them are for the purpose of improving productivity and reducing the burden of labor costs. BORUNTE is an open source method so that you do not have to pay separate program fees, and is designed so that anyone can perform any operation through education. “In addition, the advantage is that 2 chucks and 4 adsorption lines are provided as standard, so there is no additional cost.”

In addition, the articulated robot can be operated through simple training using the same program as the Cartesian robot, and the compact servo box can save space. Likewise, through sufficient open source training, it is possible to teach the program directly without purchasing the program separately. This lineup is optimized for use with loading robots, spray robots, welding robots, scara robots, and logistics robots.

The NEWOMAP air dehumidifier, which is also introduced, has a compact size that can be installed directly in a desired location, such as an injection molding machine. In addition, it is designed to have a low dew point (-50℃) with the optional extra drying kit as standard, and does not require coolant, making it easy to maintain. The anti-overdrying function mode prevents changes in material properties and yellowing, and the weekly timer function allows you to use the material at the desired time.

The company explains that the honeycomb dehumidifier’s strength is its compact size, and that it fundamentally blocks contaminants (coolant, oil) from the outside by requiring only 220V single-phase electricity. Uniform dehumidification is ensured by the low RPM engine wheel, and overdrying prevention and weekly timer functions are equally applied.

NEWOMAP gravimetric mixer enables accurate weighing by measuring weight when weighing ingredients. SM Tech pointed out that the small-volume mixing method does not cause material separation due to material specific gravity problems or static electricity problems, and the small-volume mixing method allows the materials to be mixed evenly.

An official said, “Just as the products produced by each customer are different, each customer needs customized equipment. Accordingly, rather than simply selling robots, our company designs them to suit customers and combines them with the necessary automation equipment. To that end, we will make more efforts to understand the needs of our customers,” he said. “We will always aim for customer satisfaction and improve the productivity and quality of the production site.” We are doing our best to improve. “Rather than aiming for the best, we promise to become a company that grows based on trust with customers.”

On the other hand, KOPLAS, which celebrates its 2023th anniversary in 27, provides a variety of attractions from raw materials for plastics to molds, processing machines, related auxiliary devices, automation solutions, printing, packaging, semi-finished products, and finished products, and presents the present and future of related industries. It provides a ‘place for the plastic rubber-related industry’. As it is held at the same time as the Korea Material·Composite Material and Equipment Exhibition (K-Mtech) and the International Mold and Related Equipment Exhibition (INTERMOLD KOREA), you can meet various products in one place.
