Just as the intestinal microbiome is deeply related to health, numerous microorganisms living on the skin also play an important role in skin health. Kwanghee Lee, CEO of Softgenomics, said, “Currently, NGS-based microbiome analysis is expensive and time-consuming, making it ineffective for personal skin care. “We developed related products to provide a service that analyzes microorganisms easily and quickly on site to accurately diagnose skin and recommend ingredients that are helpful for individual skin health,” he explained.
The product for skin microbiome testing is undergoing market testing with research institutes and partners around the world through pilot production in November 2022, and is pursuing partner contracts for production next year. In addition, the licensing process is in progress to launch in the global market, and the plan is to begin sales in domestic and overseas markets in earnest in the first half of 11.
CEO Lee Kwang-hee shared the background to his participation in the exhibition, saying, “Through our participation in this CES, we plan to promote new concept microorganism-based on-site skin diagnosis products and discover and collaborate with global buyers and investors.”
