Infinic (CEO Joonhyung Park), a company specializing in autonomous driving data, will collect personal information in video data at ‘CES 2023’, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA for a total of 1 days from January 5 (Thursday) to January 8 (Sunday, local time), 4. We are unveiling ‘Heidi’, a de-identification solution that automatically blurs.

Heidi, which will be unveiled at this exhibition, automatically blurs or deepfakes personal information such as faces and license plates in images or videos to make them unrecognizable when collecting data. It is a data protection solution that processes sensitive information.

Infiniq further advanced its existing personal information de-identification solution and implemented it with Heidi. Officials explained that they increased efficiency by enabling data processing in a parallel structure and raised the blur processing accuracy to 99%. Additionally, the number of images processed per second has been increased to 12, and various file formats such as MPEG, H.263, HEVC, and MJPEG are supported.

In particular, Infiniq plans to provide an experience space at the CES 2023 exhibition site where visitors’ faces shown on the camera are de-identified in real time through a kiosk.

Recently, as technology development for autonomous driving has accelerated, personal information protection laws have been implemented in each country, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the U.S., the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) in the United States, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe. As interest in information protection is increasing, the related market is expected to expand further. In Korea, the use of de-identification solutions is expected to increase significantly as de-identification of data becomes mandatory due to the revision of the three data laws.

In addition, Infiniq will also showcase ‘Data Studio’, which operates and manages the entire life cycle of data, and ‘Autonomous Driving Sensor Fusion Technology’, Infiniq’s core technology, at the CES 2023 exhibition hall. Sensor fusion is a technology that minimizes errors by correcting 2D images and sensor information among the data required for autonomous driving, and this technology will be directly demonstrated in the field.

Infiniq CEO Park Joon-hyung said, “We will continue to provide services that can protect personal information more quickly and accurately with Infiniq’s differentiated technology,” and added, “With our participation in CES, we will continue to advance into the global market and accelerate the commercialization of autonomous driving.” “I will contribute to this,” he said.

Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition, is an exhibition where you can understand the trends of the global home appliance industry at a glance. Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), it is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 1 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 17, and has been selected as the ‘BEST OF CES’, which selects the best innovative products and technologies, and the ‘BEST OF’, which selects domestic innovative companies. ‘MADE IN KOREA’ was held. In addition, CES on-site issues were vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.
