The Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (President Yong-moon Kim), Seoul Business Agency (CEO Hyun-woo Kim), and Seoul Digital will participate in the ‘2023 Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show (CES)’ held from Thursday, January 1 to Sunday, January 5, 8. It was announced on the 2023th that it was operating the ‘K-STARTUP Integration Center’ with the foundation (Chairman Kang Je-sik) and that an inauguration ceremony was held to lay the foundation for 50 promising domestic startups to enter the U.S. market.
Last August, the Startup Promotion Agency, Seoul Business Agency, and Seoul Digital Foundation signed an agreement to create and operate the CES 8 ‘K-STARTUP Integrated Hall’ for the purpose of operating booths, providing domestic and foreign support to participating companies, and discovering local investor networking (2023) On August 2022, a consultative body (hereinafter referred to as the K-STARTUP Integrated Center Consultative Body) was formed.
Accordingly, the launching ceremony for the CES 11 ‘K-STARTUP Integrated Hall’ was held on Wednesday, November 30, and about 2023 people from participating companies, college student supporters, and management organizations attended the event to discuss the vision and vision of the ‘K-STARTUP Integrated Hall’. The event included introduction of CES 120 college student supporters, guidance on pre-participation in the exhibition, and networking for companies and supporters.
At the CES 2023 ‘K-STARTUP Integrated Pavilion’ launching ceremony, Seong Seung-ho, Director of the Entrepreneurship Promotion Division of the Korea Institute of Startups and Entrepreneurship Development, said that by branding K-STARTUP and emphasizing the representativeness of Korean startups, it will serve as a stepping stone for discovering global partners. He revealed the vision of ‘Gwan’.
Next, CES 2023 college student supporters selected from each university (Kyunghee University, Kookmin University, Sogang University, and Chung-Ang University) were matched considering their majors and the industrial fields of participating companies, and an opportunity for preliminary networking between companies and supporters was prepared.
Director Kim Yong-moon of the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development said, “This CES K-STARTUP Integration Hall launching ceremony will be an opportunity to raise the status of K-STARTUP at CES, and the meaningful integration of three organizations for the successful overseas expansion of Korean startups will help participating companies. “We will spare no effort in providing active support until participation in the exhibition so that it can lead to practical results,” he said.
