(CEO: Jeong Sang-soo), which develops and operates the ‘Watchmile’ service that guides you to empty parking spaces in real time in indoor parking spaces, won the Smart Cities category at the ‘CES 2023 Innovation Awards Honoree’ It was announced on the 24th that it had won the Innovation Award.
The CES Innovation Award is an award given by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) to products from companies with outstanding technology and innovation ahead of CES, the world’s largest IT and home appliance exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA every January. The 1 CES Innovation Awards program reached an all-time high with more than 2023 entries from around the world.
Bestella Lab’s Watch Mile service is the world’s first service that guides the route to the optimal parking surface in an indoor parking lot in a GPS shaded area. It is a product developed based on technologies such as AI-based object recognition technology, Non-GPS precise positioning technology, dynamic map automatic generation technology, precise digital map production technology, optimal/shortest path algorithm, and algorithm tailored to the socially disadvantaged. It is a product developed based on video and AIoT information. Based on this, real-time parking status and the location of empty parking spaces are identified and the route is guided to the optimal parking surface tailored to the user’s preference.
This reduces the driver’s parking time by more than 70% during the parking process and dramatically reduces fuel usage and exhaust gas emissions. Based on this, ‘Watch Mile’, a navigation service in parking lots for drivers, is being provided at Seoul Station parking lot, Incheon International Airport, Cheonho Station public parking lot, KINTEX, Knowledge Industry Center, and large-scale apartment residential facilities.
